Hi there,
We hadn't been going to do a grocery shop whilst at WDW but have just realised that it might be hard for us to find enough fresh fruit and veg for the baby, without it costing the earth...

So I'm thinking we might do an online grocery order.. where do you recommend as not being too pricey? We will probably get fruit, veg, bread, milk and maybe cereal..

Thanks

I've only tried Garden Grocer, but was 100% satisfied with them.

Obviously there is a mark-up compared to DIY shopping, but they are doing the shopping for you and dropping it off to you at your hotel.

They had a wonderful selection of healthy foods to help supplement the Disney Diet.

We used the Garden Grocer, as well, and were satisfied with the product. The prices were a bit high, but the convenience was a benefit.

Then, when the groceries were delivered, SSR castmembers told us that they could have driven us to the closest grocery store in the resort van.

Really... how did they come to tell you this? Do you think it was for real?

That is not a normal service they do at all. DVC has their own high cost low selection grocery ordering service so taking people to the store was either a joke or something specifically offered (well not really offered) to you, that time.

Anyone ever use We Go Shop? I have been eyeing them online since you can send them to any store and we'd love to get everything from Whole Foods if possible. Except I am also keeping an eye on the fridge situation because I don't think it will be worth it for us without having a fridge :(

Oh yeah, I know all about their grocery ordering service and seriously contemplated doing a 1-day car rental to drive for the groceries, instead.

It was no joke, though, the cast member even had the van driver call us the next morning to see if we were interested in a ride. I don't know if having a 6-month old along or my MIL needing a wheelchair for any walking over 100 yards played into them offering or not.

That was really kind, and yes those things might have helped, I do think though that sometimes people are just kind and generous!

We ended up visiting a first aid place off site last visit (stupid and pointless it was but that's another story) and I got really upset and we were kept waiting for hours and hours. One lady saw me in tears and came and gave me her number offering to give us a ride home, cook us a meal and all sorts. She was a cast member and just acting out of the goodness of her heart. We couldn't take her up on it as we didn't have a car seat with us, but it was so kind of her :goodvibes

By the time we booked Garden Grocer was booked up, so we used We Go Shop and were very pleased! Highly recommend them!

There's a thread comparing the two over on the budget board. Most people greatly prefer We Go Shop.

We always go garden grocer but I must admit, I find their prices very high. It's all about convenience I guess.

Awesome thanks, glad to hear good things about them! Now to figure out if we might get a fridge :)
