Were is the best place to purchase tickets and what are the best value in tickets? I am a little nervous due to getting taken last fall by an auction... long story. Anyway looking at next late fall between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Will be the first trip for all

I get mine a the Disney Store in the Mall. Not a big discount but you do get advance purchase price and they will be selling MYW tickets. I like the fact that I can buy them one at a time if I want. If I have extra money one month I can swing buy the Disney Store and pick one up. This way for me it not as big a shock as getting them all at once. I just start accumulating them and before you know it I have all our passes.

:cool1:

Thanks, I actually went by there today and they told me about the MYW tickets. I will try that more than likely this time, beats loosing $700 on no tickets lol. Oh well could have been worse.

There was someone on ebay last fall selling seven day hoppers for 100 dollars apiece. I think it was a scam. If you tell us what happened to you it might help us from getting scammed in the future. Just a thought!

Tammy,
I actually posted a thread in the Diney for Families area, I think..... But here is what happend in a nut shell. I am a firefighter/medic for an Indiana department and I mow yards in the summer for extra $$$$. Well I decided to suprise my family with a trip to Orlando at the end of Oct 2004. In Aug I started planning and sneaking around and found 4 - 5 day PHP on yahoo auction for sale from GA. I bid and won them for $700. The person selling these tickets picked up that I was in the fire service and played me like a cheap drum. She claimed to be a 911 dispatcher for the city of Atlanta and had won these tickets for being a great employee..... good liar too. I asked her how she wanted payment and she requested a US postal serivce money order and I sent it. Well I got a package with a trip planning DVD and a few coupons, no tickets, talk about sick. I tries multiple times to contact her, but no reply. I found an address, cell # and business #, all not working. I contacted the City of Atlanta and Fulton CO GA... No emlpoyee of that name or shift that she claimed to work. I have filed a case with the PD down there and they are investigating it. I have also learned that it is not "legal" for lack of a better word to buy unused Disney Tickets, it viods them if they catch you. I also contacted Disney and offered to tell my story so that someone else did not get taken, they did call me back and told me no thanks, sorry it happend and I hope you choose Disney to vacation at soon, bye. So I will say this, get your tickets from a real dealer/site, don't buy auction tickets, way to easy to get scammed. Best news is the DD 9 and DS 5 never knew about it and still don't DW 30ish knows and forgave me :cool1: ..... So becareful out there.
Thanks for listening and if you want more info search for my name firemouse and it should pop up the rest of the story.

I agree about being careful - but some places really have great tickets. I travel with two other families last summer. We drove from St. Louis to FL. On our drive thru Georgia we stopped at exit 101 to grab a bite to eat and gas up. At this BP 2 ladies where outside offering to sell 4 day hopper tickets for $135 a piece (they expired in 14 of 1st use). You only had to give them a deposit of $20 (which you'd get back once you showed at the Resort). They took them up on their offer. They (friends of ours) were informed upfront that they'd have to go to a 90 minute Timeshare Presentation at either Orange Lake, Wyndham Palms, or Westgate. They choose Orange Lake and their presentation was less than an hour. Now, I believe in not wasting time while on vacation, but I spent $208.xx for mine on hotwire. Mine didn't expire but we had already planned 4 days in the park. The plus - I never used - I have several plus' around my house. I kept their number in my cell phone (Florida Welcome Center 1-229-273-1684). I'm at least gonna to call and get a quote.

But I'm waiting until after AAA and hotwire release their prices (they usually have better prices than anyone - Hotwire more than anyone)!

Oh and to the above poster, Sorry about that situation, but I've sold my 4 day hopper on Ebay and they were very much valid. I don't really trust Yahoo's auctions - I've all but considered the people that sell on Yahoo - Ebay's rejects! Although it may not be true for all of them - many people sell things Ebay will not allow them to (like partially used tickets, fake designer purses, etc). But I have bought some DVD's that have been suspect, but in excellent use, but I am very careful! Again be careful when it comes to tickets, I would only pay for items using Paypal (for insurance purposes) and never - I mean never do money orders only auctions - I don't even bid on auctions that only accept money orders! Those people sound suspicious to me!

i just got back from disney dec 21 - 29 .. ,,,go sign up for mousesavers and they have special prices for ticketmania.com ,,,,i printed them out and took them into the store and since there prices went up and i had a printout i saved lots of money they honored there computer prices,,,,,nice people great to do business with,,,,,there were 2 a and 2 c in my party we bought 4 day hopper for disney ,,,3 bushgarden/seaworld combo,,,4 island of adventure tickets,,,,,there,,,,they give you a huge pack of coupons for lots of area thing and maps and free calling card,,,,put put golf coupons,,,,good luck

I used them and got my tix VERY quickly via USPS priority mail. Very clear website, price lists, and easy ordering system. They are an "official" seller or tickets and include all the typical disney guides with their delivery. Best of all, discounted prices!

Unfortunately, I thought I'd be smart and pay 2004 prices last fall, before the Magic Your Way tix were announced. Ends up okay, but because I paid extra for DisneyQuest tix I could've saved another 40 bucks or so if I'd waited!

MYW tix are now available via Maple Leaf....I just checked their site a minute ago (to see how much money I lost!)

Bottom line, Maple Leaf is highly recommended!!

I used TicketMania last time we went. They were great, cheap and sent a nice packet of coupons and information.

MapleLeaf is great! Great and Fast service! I highly recommend them and will use them in the future!

I've used ticketmania and they are great. If you subscribe to the MouseSavers newsletter (www.mousesavers.com) you can get a little better discount. For my ticket they were cheaper than maple leaf, but you should compare the prices.

I just bought tickets for our trip in March. If you need a 4 day pass, the best way to go is AAA. I used TicketMania last time and they were the cheapest for a 3 day pass. I would buy from them again. This time for 4 days, AAA is still selling 4 Day Park Hopper Passes which are only $213. That was by far the cheapest I have seen.

I don't think AAA would have sold them to me last week if they were no longer valid :)

Can you still use these?

Thamks

Oh yeah you can use any old ticket with days on them. It doesn't matter how old they are. Most AAA are still selling the old tickets until they get the new ones in - and they are still at the old prices. A 4 day hopper in my local AAA office is still $204. Its not a plus, but still a hopper.

I think AAA will soon stop selling the old hopper passes, if they haven't already. So if you want them you better get them soon!
