We were planning on getting the So. Cal City Pass but decided we'd rather do a beach day and Legoland instead of Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. We still want to do Universal. I think we are hoping that Mycokerewards puts Universal Hollywood tickets back up on their site but we are weighing what the best options are for Disneyland tickets.

We were thinking of getting 3 day tickets. I know Mousesavers has some ticket brokers listed w/ discounted ticket prices so that is one option. What would be the benefit of using AAA. Any perks? We have a Disney Visa so part of me wants to buy them through their website so that I can use our reward points, but I guess I can use them in the parks if I can save money by purchasing them elsewhere. We need 2 adult tickets and 3 childrens.

I'd appreciate your opinions and advice. :goodvibes

We were either going to get our tickets directly from the Disneyland hotel where we have our reservations or Ares Travel (saves a few $$, not much). They are about the same where ever you look, and I've researched and researched this one recently. I ended up getting a better rate through the military, but if the new rates hadn't come through, I would have probably just stuck with getting the tickets at the hotel the day we got there.

I purchased tickets from getawaytoday.com. They come with two Magic Mornings:cool1: !!! They charge a $10 handling fee for the entire order (not per ticket), so I felt it was worth it. You can also get character breakfast tickets from them too at a discounted price. They will send you a confirmation and then you pick up the actual tickets at the Disneyland booths, just have to show your ID. It was really easy.

:thumbsup2 Getawaytoday.com :thumbsup2 My favoritiest place to get tickets in the whole magic kingdom. I found them to be the cheapest by far.

Right now, getawaytoday doesn't have only a 3 day parkhopper online. They have the five days for price of 3, you wouldn't have to use the two free days, but you could. They are $169 adult and $139 child 3-9, which is the exact same as Disneyland.com

The discounted character meals are cool, they give you about $2 of savings per person, which if you have 5 in your family would be about $10 total, which is totally worth it.

And you do get two MM (which is early entry, only available certain days) with the getawaytodaytickets, and you only get one if you buy tickets direct from Disney. However, if you are staying onsite at a DLR hotel, then you get MM whenever they are available anyway.

You can also get $10 off, which would pay for the shipping price by using the promo code PODCAST, don't know how long that promo code is good for, but I tried it on Monday and it still worked.

on getaway.com do you have to book your hotel through them to purchase tickets? I am not seeing a place to just purchase tickets seperately. Thanks!

what browser are you using? I have to use Firefox in order to see the "ticket only" option. When I use Safari, it doesn't show it. But yes, you can purchase tickets separately.

On getawaytoday.com I'm using the IE browser and at the very top of the homepage there is a menu that says: Home | Destinations |Tickets | etc, etc. Just click on the tickets option, it gives you several options, click on Disneyland Resort and it should take you to the ticketing options. And while you are on that page, if you want dining tickets, you will see a drop down menu that says type: Attractions, click on it and it will also give you and option for dining and will take you to the different types of dinind options you can purchase. Hope that helps.

Do you know anyone in the military? Most of the time they have really cheap tickets..

AAA tix are $150 for adult and $122 for kids. However I also use getawaytoday and if youll notice they have the adult Legoland tix for the same price as the child.

Just a note on Legoland tix. IF your kids are REALLY into legos than you might want to consider signing them up for the lego club. It costs $40 and you get a free childs legoland tix, a lego package every other month, a subscription to the lego magazine and some coupons. My boys get this as a gift at Christmas and it lasts all year round. A pretty good deal when you consider the Legoland tix are about $46 by themselves.:teacher:
