Best place to get least expensive tickets????

I thought I had this all figured out, I was going to register my son for a YES program sometime Jan 2-6 and purchase tickets through YES. I received an email that there would not be any YES programs during that time frame, so not tickets either. So now I am looking for the best way to purchase tickets but not as a package deal.

The other though I had was to purchase Kroger gift cards through my son's hockey program, we get a 5% credit from purchase amount toward future fees. Take the Kroger gift cards and purchase Disney gift cards, can you use a gift card to purchase a gift card, and hopefully do that during the 3x or 4x Kroger point special to be able to use on gas purchases. My calculation on that is we would purchase $1000 of Kroger cards, earning $50 hockey credit. Purchasing the Disney cards during the 4x promotion would give us 4000 Kroger points or 4 times of filling the car up at $1 off per gallon. The $1 off would be saving $140 if we were able to get both cars there at once, which we have, and use the max of 35 gallons of gas. It might also be saving $80 with just filling up my tank 4 times. So it would be like getting our Disney tickets from Disney and saving from $130-$190 off the ticket cost. Of course that's if you can use a Kroger card to buy another gift card and if the wind was blowing the correct way and if ........

So, is there a good place to purchase discounted tickets and do you really save much. We are a family of 2 adults and 1 child, so a small discount would not be as significant for us as a large family.

I don't think that you would be able to purchase a gift card with a store gift card at Kroger but every region is different, so YMMV. I don't think that I would take the chance unless I asked the store manager and got it in writing first. The last thing that you want to do is use your Disney money on 4-months of groceries!

And I'm not sure that you would qualify for the points program when you use a gift card to pay for your purchase. That would be double-dipping. Most stores would give you whatever bonus points when you bought the gift card. Again, YMMV and it's always smart to check with the store manager and get it in writing before you try anything like that.

If you decide to abandon the above scheme, then I recommend Undercovertourist thru the Mousesavers newsletter link. They are probably the most affordable of the discounters and they have a very good reputation.

Get a free subscription to www.mousesavers.com and then follow their link to Undercover Tourist. This appears to generally be the best price for discounted tickets that is a real legitimate company.
