Best place to find low price on FTP

First off I would like to say that I have just found this board I LOVE it, it is the best place to find information on Disney World.
Now for my question. I have a week planed in Orlando in July staying in a timeshare but after reading all the stories on the Fairy Tale Package I have decided to add on another week to our vacation, either before our timeshare week or after. My question is, where is the best place to find the best price on the package and what resort would you recommend for one adult, one 14 year old and 2 year old twin boys. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there and welcome ziggy14! I'm not so sure you can get the FT pkg. cheaper than what Disney has it for. It's a Disney pkg. so you pay what they ask! As far as resorts for your group, I would suggest checking out Deb Wills site for some great info. It's wdwig.com. She has some great resort photos. It depends on what your budget is. Keep in mind that the moderate resorts are getting somewhat quickly booked due to Port Orleans-French Quarter being rehabbed. Have fun planning and keep coming to these boards!!

I've found it easier to compare the hotels and prices at the WDW for the FT package at expedia.com because once you put in your dates and who is coming (adults, children and ages) it puts up the prices for all the available properties for your time frame. Go to expedia.com and choose the hotel option then pick orlando and put in your date info and who is coming and the next page the first listing is for WDW resorts packages so choose that. Seems like booking through expedia might be $50 cheaper than what I saw doing the same thing on the disney website but I booked through disney cause I didn't have to pay the whole thing up front...like it seemed I'd have to do with expedia.

I would also suggest checking out dreams unlimited travel at www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com. They can make your ressies and serve as a travel agent making shuttle arrangement, priority seatings etc at no extra cost above what disney charges for the package...

I really recommend www.mousesavers.com as well--my ressies are less than the quote I got from the Disney website. I believe it's Small World Travel--if you get Leigh she's been awesome with helping me out

It's our first trip ever and would've been years away--FTP saved us $1400. We'll be in a Fort Wilderness Cabin Sept 30- Oct7--got the value season and that knocked off $200 if we went later in Oct.

Going with hubby, 3 yr old and 5 yr old--came to $2016
