I went through all the restaurants and it seems like a lot of fast food stuff at the parks like burgers, chicken nuggets, etc. Where would be a nice place to eat dinner that isn't too expensive that serves typical American food. I don't care for the fancy food per say but maybe just regular steak or fish dinners I suppose that also have toddler friendly food?

in MK, I would suggest trying out Cosmic Rays...They have quite a few good alternatives and also a chicken, potato and veggie plate...enough to feed a couple of little ones off...or share one with an adult...we always took the grandkids there instead of burgers or chicken fingers for that day in MK...
Also there are some good choices at Columbia house...both of these are counter service restaurants and good

also some of the resorts, like Riverside Port Orleans, have some good counter service meals but are the type of meat veg and potato meals...Same with some of the value resorts...
check the counter service menus and see if there are some ones you would like..

I'm not quite sure from your post...are you looking for counter service or a table service (sit-down) restaurant?

Sorry about that. I am looking for a table service. Something a little nicer during our park visits than a counter service I suppose but not too fancy since I have two little ones :)

If you like buffets, the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom would be fun for your toddlers. It has the Winnie the Pooh characters. Also, Tony's Town Square is a nice restaurant in the MK but not too fancy. At Epcot, I would suggest the Coral Reef. It has giant aquariums to entertain the little ones and also serves the steak and fish you wanted.

You know, you might consider leaving the park and eating at a near-by resort. For instance, the Grand Floridian Cafe is a monorail or boat ride away from the MK, and is very good IMHO. Captains Grill at the YC is close to EPCOT. There are several good restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin to consider. Just a thought.
