Best place to eat for a first timer?

With this our first trip to Universal, 3 adults and a 5 year old. Where is a good or the best place to dine at. We are not to picking either.

If you're Harry Potter fans, be sure to try either of the quick service locations. For table service, we like Mythos at Islands of Adventure. Confisco Grill at Islands is good, too. At the Studios, Finnegans is a fun Irish pub restaurant and Lombard's is good for seafood. Both are table service. For the table service places, you can make reservations online- but you don't need to do so very far in advance. We usually decide the day or two before and go online to make a reservation. You can get in as a walk-in, but we like to minimize our waits.

There are also many City Walk restaurants if you have time to eat there. Toothsome is a new place and has amazing milk shakes!!

Mythos is fantastic and very cool inside! Other than that, I've never found the food at Universal to be all that special. I like the Simpsons QS area in the back of Moe's Tavern, which has a few options.

Mythos has theming and style like very few restaurants. It makes me feel like I am transported to a foreign land. It is air conditioned and the food is great. As a first timer, it might help solidify that you will make a return trip to Universal after this.

The theming at the Harry Potter restaurants are great, too. Those are quick service and still wonderful to behold. I hope you are visiting for more than one day.

Also for counter service, Thunder Falls Terrace is good. Ribs, roast chicken, corn.
And if you just want burgers, the counter service in the Jurassic Park building is a cool place to eat- nothing special about the food but the Jurassic Park ambiance is nice.
