If you had to choose your dinner on Christmas Day, where would you go? I will be staying on-site so I'm not too worried about not being let into the Magic Kingdom, but should we stay away during dinner time? Please help me pick as the time for making ressie's is coming fast and I don't have a clue yet.:scared1:

I'd like to be able to see the lights on the castle that night, but is it really important? Is MGM better to be at on Christmas night? or Epcot? Please help!

not sure what kind of a meal you are looking for, but last year, we ate at the spirit of aloha show at the polynesian. it is a 2 table credit if you are on the dining plan. we did not go into any park that day, just chilled out at port orleans. it was something that the kids will never forget, and they still talk about the show.

I didn't vote because my choices are not listed in the poll.
We were just there for Christmas 2007.
We ate:

breakfast: 'Ohana
dinner: Chef Mickey's

Both were great, as always!!
(We let DS9 pick where we ate!)

The Candlelight Processional is the absolute perfect way to celebrate the holiday. It's beautiful! If you haven't ever seen it, you just can't miss it!

I picked Le Cellier/Candlelight. I can't comment on the food at Le Cellier as I've never been there, but the Candlelight processional is absolutely beautiful. It would be perfect for Christmas Day dinner.

Also just as an FYI, staying onsite does not guarantee you entrance to a park if it happens to reach its capacity. I'm not sure if MK reaches its capacity on Christmas Day, but I know it usually does on NYE and there are many onsite guests that are turned away.

I would not choose any restaurant in the MK .Christmas day is one of the busiest days of the year. The others are 4th of July ,New Years, and Thanksgiving.Even though you are a disney resort guest, If the MK closes at a phase 4 capacity closing you will not be allowed in, even with an adr.MK can typically hit a phase 4 on Christmas day by about 1030-1100am and re-open later in the afternoon.Other parks are much better suited to hold the crowds( like Epcot) but even then they are packed.I would definitely do the Candle light processional on Christmas day..It was beautiful

I agree. We were there last year on Christmas and MK was closed at 10:30. We had ADR and there was nothing we could do. I hadn't wanted to get up and going that early because the kids were busy opening presents and playing. I didn't want to rush. I wished I would have made plans at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, the food is great and it has a nice atmosphere. Instead we went to the Animal Kingdom Park and then ate at the Rainforest Cafe. The food was good and I was able to make reservations the day of. I was just glad I found something since we could not get to the reservations I made 6 months before.

I totally agree with both points....

Candlelight package is terrific.... and we love the food at atmosphere at Le Cellier...There is a Christmas Tree lighting at Epcot that is really great and the lights and decorations are wonderful...

I would stay clear away from the MK...It closes almost every year because it reaches capacity by the early afternoon.

Can I assume that my best bet is to go to CRT for an early breakfast? Then somewhere else for dinner?
