best place to eat at Animal Kingdom???

We have gone to Pizzafari twice and loved it. The food is good for adults and kids, and the dining rooms are themed with animals. Bug room last year and Tiger room before. There is also an upside-down room.
Last year, as we were getting ready to leave Pizzafari, we ran into Flik and got his autograph and pix with the kids.

Flame Tree! If you do Tusker House, do the same thing, if the weather permits, walk through the doors and out back. It is a quieter area with tables, and if you listen, you can hear the housekeeper upstairs at the guest house washing dishes and sweeping up. Nice touch.

We really enjoyed lunch at Tusker House-the food was delicious. However, it is counter service (though not at all like your standard fast fare). The day we were there it was very hectic and somewhat disorganized at the counter. It took us a long time to get our food. We really enjoyed Rainforest Cafe after spending the morning in the AK. It was nice to sit down and be waited on and the kids loved the atmosphere-so did mom and dad. The gift shop is fun too-as long as the kids realize they can't buy everything they see!

I prefer Flame Tree. I ate at the Downtown Disney Rainforest a few years back and hated it! It was loud, the service was the worst I've had at Disney, and my mom and I just really didn't like the food either. However, if you have young children, Rainforest will keep them occupied. Just be aware that it can be really loud.

Unfortunately I have one picky child, so we have not tried Flame Tree or Tusker House. We have had good luck with Pizzafari. Good Italian sub-like sandwiches! We've also had breakfast and lunch at Restaurantasaurus. It's good burgers and McDonald's fries. You can also get McDonald's chicken nugget happy meals. My son was momentarily disappointed to find that it was the "old" chicken nuggets, whatever that meant. We had a delicious frozen lemonade that wasn't the pre-made kind in the carton that was somewhere in or near Asia. It came with a safari Pluto spoon that made a good souvenir.

We just ate at the Tusker House last weekend and the chicken was awesome! Along with the veggies! I didn't particularly care for the gravy, seemed to have a burgundy type taste, but LOVED the rest! We also usually grab a cinnimon roll there in the morning which has always been good.

Been years since we ate at Flame Tree but it too was good!

Flame Tree. Great food and great setting/location. Make sure you grab a table at lower tier by the water.
