I want to know the best way to by park hopper tickets. I don't want flimsy paper ones. Is it best to order online or buy from the disney store? Or is there some other way?:moped:

I'm not sure what you mean by "flimsy paper ones". I believe all the parkhopper tickets look the same. If you order it online you print out a paper (is that what you were referring to?) but you bring it to the gate and they give exchange it for an actual ticket which is made out of heavy paper but that's how they all are. I think printing them out at home seems like the easiest thing to me but maybe someone else has another suggestion. The only way to get a plastic ticket is if you got an AP. Does that help?

As Lavenderpeach said, all park hoppers are the same. Harder than an index card, softer than a credit card, it's like a business card. The only reason I can think of why there would be flimsy ones is if you got a counterfeit on your hands.

Ordering online is definitely the best way. There's no charge if you print your own voucher.

Some Safeway stores sell park hopper passes. They are plastic cards. Not sure if they have to be exchanged or can be used as is.

You can also buy at most Disneyland area hotels.

No - we got our park hoppers from WDTC and they were the hard plastic souvenir ones with pictures (we had Buzz Lightyear and Snow White).

Oh really? I stand corrected. :) I guess if OP wants those then WDTC is the place to get them.

Safeway/Vons also sells the hard plastic ones.

I believe the ones Costco sells are also plastic.

If you order through Disneyland online or ARES or Getawaytoday, you will get the thick paper ones (which some claim to be flimsy).

So this another one of those DLs concepts I'm having a rough time with. Just walk up to the gate with a piece of paper I printed out at home? I know it says you can skip the ticket booths. But there must be somewhere else I go, other than walking up to a turnstile, right? :confused3

Nope, you take that piece of paper directly off your printer, and take it right to the CM at the turnstiles. They scan the barcode on the paper, and will then hand you an actual parkhopper (the thick paper with waxy coating kind). HTH!

does anyone have a number for the WDTC. I have all ready had issues with the etickets. If i could order that way and still get the current special and the early morning entry that would be great.

I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure that WDTC only deals with packages, and don't sell tickets-only. For that, you need to go through disneyland.com, or the other sellers mentioned in previous posts (Safeway, ARES Travel, Getawaytoday, etc.) The Disney Store also sells them.

Thanks DangerMouse. I guess I couldn't accept that it would be just that simple.

Also, if people work for a corporation that offers group discounts on travel, etc as a benefit, you might want to see if Disneyland is on the list. My company has a contract with TicketsAtWork.com.

I can buy 5-day adult park hoppers through them for less than that the child's price listed at Disneyland.com.

FYI....

When we had that frenzy over the disappearance of the 8 day hoppers, some people said they were able to get them directly through WDT, so I'd assume you'd be able to get other individual PHs as well.

Was going to go buy my 3 day park hopper ticket from
my local safeway as they have them right in their gift card
section but I have a quick question.

I have searched on Ebay for tickets and see quite a few sellers
selling tickets that they will deliver to you at your hotel but they
require you to give them back at the end or pay them some fee....
what is up with that? :confused3

They are "cheating" the system...the buy the biggest hopper they can and sell off days. They meet you, you usually have to leave an ID or something and then they meet you at the end to give them back, where the turn around and do it again!

My guess, and I could be wrong, but they probably want the tickets back so that they can upgrade them to Annual passes before the tickets expire or they are multiday tickets to sell you one day of it.

ebay is great for so many things, but too many shady people to risk your vacation by trusting them... Is this considered scalping tickets? I know this is illegal and has jail time involved here - people get caught selling basketball tickets all the time... I like to save money like the next person, but it just seems scary to risk my vacation! I do hope you can find a good deal!!

Did you get your issues worked out? What was happening?
