best place to buy Tevas

After reading so much about Tevas on this board, I'm thinking about buying a pair for each member of my family before our trip. Where is the cheapest place to buy them?

The store "Rack Room Shoes" sales them (some styles) and they are even online. If you go online they have a $5 off coupon for purchases over $30 that you can use online or print to take to the store. It expires 6/7/04 though. I am heading there tomorrow!

Zappos.com is another good one. They offer free shipping and free shipping on returns.

What about actual stores that sell them? I'd like to try on a pair before I buy them. Are they sold at chains? I live about 1 1/2 hours SW of Chicago. We don't usually go into the city to shop, just to the larger areas, Joliet, Bloomington,Peoria to do our shopping.

I bought my families on teva.com because they had the best selection of colors and sizes. Most athletic shoe stores usually carry Tevas, childrens sizes can usually be found at Stride Rite.

Gander Mountain has a wide selection -- I believe this store has spread throughout Chicago and IL -- (I haven't been to Normal since college 13 years ago AAGGH!!) But REI and Galyans in the Chicago area carry a large selection of Teva sandals. The kids shoes tend to run large and I was able to buy my kids their shoes in April and I am sure they will fit them through October!!!!!

Thanks, there is a Gander mountain in Davenport, IA where my sister lives, so next time I visit I'll check them out!

I just got a pair for $39 from Famous Footwear. I live in Denver but could swear I have shopped at those in the Chicago area while visiting my brother.

I have bought three pairs from Ebay!!! I payed aabout 1/2 the price that Teva.com quoted!!! All three pair were new with tags and in the box!!!

I honestly don't know how they do it - but I sure am thrilled that they do!!!
