I know we have lots of fur-parents on this board!!

Where does everyone buy their Ped Meds? My dogs just went to the vet this weekend and it was time to renew the heartworm medication. We use Interceptor, and although I went ahead and bought it through the vet, I figured it was probably highly marked up at $76 for 12 pills. So, I checked 1-800-PetMeds and was surprised that the same pills are $81.99 there. Is the vet actually the cheapest place to buy them?

I have my cat's prescriptions filled at Costco! It's cheaper than anywhere else I checked. You just have to call around to see if you can get that particular type of medicine there. :thumbsup2

I get Frontline Plus for my cats from Australia. It seems that it is a non-prescription medication there and can be sold OTC. These are factorysealed and have an expiration date about 18 months from when I buy them. I will normally pay about US$72 including shipping by air. I see quite a few dealers listing on eBay who have very high feedback numbers.

We totally love this site! It's the best deal on the meds for our Chihuahuas. We have used them for over a year with no problems. Our vet can't beat their prices, so we continue to use their services. Maggie

Definately not my vet...I took my cat because he was obviously sick and it turned out only to be excessive gas...excessive gas which cost me over $80.

entirelypets.com for my pets.

If it were a short term med I would get itfrom my vet. My 17 plus year old cat is tapazole, and it is dirt cheap compared t the vet
