where does everyone buy their postcards?

I mailed approx 10 postcards last year to some families on the boards & I couldn't believe how hard they were to find.... I was getting worried that I wouldn't find them. I did find a few at DT Disney, they were not my favorite but I didn't have much time......

I'm going to do the same thing this year so I'm curious where others have found them....

I got a 10 postcard book at the Emporium in MK. I don't recall how much they were but not expensive (I think they were $4-5) - I used them to send postcards to kids of fellow boardies

The cheapest postcards at the resorts I found were $1.10 plux tax each. A few of the nicer ones were over $2 each! If you are looking for them in Disney, make sure you look to see how much they are before purchasing~

What happened to the day of .25 postcards?

Do the Wal Marts or anyone carry them I wonder? I tried to find some online to bring with me (yes these are for FGM) but nothing online ...

Our first day there we will be at DTD for a bit, but I don't want to spend too much time looking for them!

The Laughing Place Store online has several postcards. I've looked there, but I haven't purchased them yet.

I collect Disney postcards... they're getting much harder to find and much more expensive. Don't expect to pay less than $1/card on site. For this reason sadly I don't buy as many to swap out with other traders these days, only for one or two specific people I know will really love them. At Disneyland you can also find Disney themed postcards at the little shops in the hotels around DL, and I'd think this may be the case with WDW too. Some of the local shops/hotels/etc may have them slightly cheaper. You can get older ones on ebay relatively cheap if you're trying to collect them, or join a yahoo group for swapping them

I always pick up a bunch when I'm going through the airport (MCO). They're much less expensive than on site at Disney and I think they are actually cuter. They always have Mickey and the Gang and the Princesses. Of course some of them (not all) say Hello from Florida, etc but there are some that just have pictures and no words.
