Last year we purchased our cards a Costco , $100 cards with a $10 bonus. Does anyone know of a similar deal now?
Thank you, Momdisney

If you have a Giant Eagle in your area, buy there. They give fuel perks and I got free gas just by buying gift cards that I used to pay for everything on the last trip.

No Giant Eagle or Target card. :(:sad1:

I also said I got that at Costco but I got them at SAMs club. The old brain doesn't work like it use to. :confused3

I no longer shop at Sam's but someone posted fairly recently that they no longer have this deal. I was able to go through Ebates and got 6% back at Disney Shopping, but they say on their site that gc's don't count towards your Ebates rebate. I'm not sure if they did count at the time I bought them or if my purchase slipped through somehow.

I don't know how long ago you got that credit, but for the last 4 years or so I know they haven't given cashback on giftcards (unless yours slipped through accidentally like you said).

Special Conditions for Disney Store

Exclusions: Cash back is not available on Theme park tickets or packages, Gift Cards, D23 Memberships

You can sometimes buy discounted cards at plasticjungle.com. They don't have any right now but keep checking back as their inventory changes often.

You can also try giftcardgranny.com
Good luck!:thumbsup

This may be a dumb question, but are the gift cards listed here - Disney Store cards - useable for things other than in the stores, such as paying for resort reservations and meals? I know people mention Disney gift cards up here a lot, so I just wanted to make sure these are the same types of cards you can use for just about anything Disney (except theme park tickets, correct?) I think the Disney "Store" title made me second guess myself.

And a big THANK YOU for mentioning this site! :thumbsup2 I had never looked into buying discounted gift cards before, but oh boy I will now! There are several places I shop at often that have amazing discounts, and with my obsessive need to find discounts, this site is pure heaven for me. :cloud9:

Well DUH, I looked below all of the listings to the info about the gift cards on the site, and it tells you exactly what you can use the cards for, including theme park tickets. So yeah, it was a really dumb question! :rotfl:

ETA: Now looking at some of the comments below the info about the cards (I really should read the whole page before posting) it sounds like some people have had trouble using the cards, because they WERE just for Disney store purchases? So does this mean there are more than one type of Disney gift cards? Is there a way you can confirm what type of gift card it is before you purchase it? Now I'm not so sure about these cards....

The Sam's Club deal is seasonal, meaning you only see it around the holidays (there could be some left-over inventory at some club stores).

Another good deal is at the Kroger family of stores -- I was able to get $1.00 off every gallon of gas by purchasing Disney Gift Cards, which helped with the car trip to Florida.

There are two different types of Disney cards. You have to keep checking back everyday for the new cards. Act fast if you see what you want.

I just switch to the Disney premium Card. I'm getting 5% for the next 3 months at Walmart, Target, grocery stores and gas. What if I buy $2000 dollars of Walmart gift cards then wait for Sam's to have that deal again and buy them with the Walmart cards?

I love squeezing a dollar till it cries. LOL:lmao:

The Sam's deal with the bonus Disney Store GC was in the 2010 holiday season. They continued to sell them into 2011 at stores where they did not sell out. But when they were gone, that was all.

The 2011 Disney GC's at Sam's had a small discount (very small) and some of them had a Disney pin, but there were no bonus cards. I'm guessing the offer changes from year to year so it is possible it may come back at some point.

Thanks for the clarification about the cards. Looks like I need to stay away from anything that is listed as a Disney store card and instead make sure it is a Disney gift card. Maybe one of those will show up on the gift card site eventually - I just wish the description of the cards wasn't so misleading on this site.

Didn't realize you could get any discounts or bonuses with gift cards. For all our special occassions and holidays we're giving each other gift cards for our May trip. I'll have to look into this.
