best place to buy a Dell desktop??

I am researching getting a new desktop for Christmas. Our old desktop died 6 months ago. where is the best place to go for price etc.. I found the model I want ~ intel core i7 . I want to get it fast enough and with enough memory that i won't have to upgrade for a few years. I have looked at costco and best buy. Any other places i should check out. i'm getting prices in the $1200 range. Thanks very much

Go to the Dell outlet on dell.com. I found a rocking deal on a laptop and I am super happy with it.

Costco also has good deals on Dells.

I've always had the best prices and luck directly with Dell.com. My desktop was built myself, with some parts from Dell. DD has had 2 laptops, the older one I am using now, is about 6 years old. When she got the new one for graduation this year, I went to the Dell utility that came with the old laptop and reinstalled everything to factory new. It was like I was getting a brand new laptop as well. Never had any problems, break downs or anything, just a new battery, which is normal to wear out at some point. Of course I'm very good to our machines too. Clean out the dust from inside regularly, keep a fan/desk/lap thingy under a laptop to keep it cool, keep your anti-baddies up to date, etc.

Ebates has 2%-4% back if you use that.
