Best place & time to go to watch Dream embark the day before we embark on the Fantasy?

We are on the 7 night NYE sailing of the Fantasy. We'll be getting into PC on the 28th, but we don't sail until the 30th. I believe the Dream embarks for its NYE sailing on the 29th.

I'd like to take my family to a restaurant to eat & watch the Dream embark. I've read that Grills is the best spot? (I've watched the grills canera a time or two). Is there another place I should be considering? And is 4:30 the time it would embark? I was thinking get there at 4 to eat. Are they packed at this time or is it easy to get a table?

The PC cam is at Fishlips - which sadly is blocked by that stupid gambling boat most of the time now. :( We ate at Fishlips before our first Dream cruise and loved it. There was only one Carnival ship in port that day, so not a big crowd.

The Disney ships usually cast off their ropes between 4:30 and 5:00 with embarkation beginning 11 or 11:30 and Muster at 4:00.

I know people on here seem to like Grills, but the pictures of that nasty cooked entire fish that inevitably pops up makes me say "No way". I would not be able to hold down my dinner if that thing was put anywhere close to me.

We watched The Dream leave on its Inaugural Voyage from Jetty Park at Port Canaveral
I'd tell you to go watch it and go out to eat afterwards!
There is also a parking lot there and picnic tables!!!

We did this exact thing before our Fantasy cruise in 2015. We went to Jetty Park. You need to pay to enter and of course I can't remember the price right now. Maybe $10? Anyway, just drive in and park over by the water. They'll be lots of people there doing the same thing. We also saw another cruise ship leave. I'd definitely be there by 4:15 at the latest. Lots of fun. I wasn't even sad to see the Dream leave without me on it because I knew I was sailing the Fantasy the next day. Enjoy!
