Best place online to buy British chocolate?

When we were in Epcot last week, we thought about buying some candy, but we didn't have the appetite to eat it then, and carrying it around all day would have resulted in a big mess. It was our next to last day, and we were leaving the resort early the next morning, so we couldn't have it shipped to our resort. Anyway, I've been dying to try the Flake, Aero and British Kit Kats that I've heard talked about on here. Is there a place online that others have ordered from with good results? I've found Flake bars on Amazon, but the commenters say that they have Arabic writing on the packaging and are kind of stale. I want the true British chocolate experience!

Another suggestion before you order by mail. Check and see if there are any English tea rooms in your area or within a short drive. I know there is one here that carries a big selection of chocolates and other items from the UK. We also have a shop called the European Market that carries a lot of different chocolates. Would save you the shipping charges if you have something close by.

I love the flake and the Yorkie. But my all time favorite is Tunnocks.

I like in England, I would be more than happy to get some English Cadburys chocolate from my local shop and send it to you if you PM me your address. I have sent quite a few parcels of English chocolate to my American dis board friends over the years! I agree though English chocolate is far nicer than American!

I live in rural northeast Arkansas. We have a lot of barbecue & catfish places, but, alas, no English tea rooms!

Didn't understand this before going to the UK. But had someone there ask me if I'd had Cadbury's and I said "yes, we have Cadbury in the U.S." They let me know right away that their chocolate is a lot different than ours......I think the main thing is the U.S. puts wax or parafin in the chocolate while the UK does not.....not sure but I think that's what I remember.

We should be going back next summer......to Scotland......can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL DH and I did something similar. We found some OMG good chocolates (mostly Cadbury) at Epcot and didn't buy enough at the time. Found the EnglishTeaStore.com to be a wonderful online place to buy more.
Their customer service was great and every so often they send out % off coupons!

(I've probably ordered half a dozen times from them and was very satisfied each and every time. Good luck finding your candy!)

Check with any large supermarket chain you might have in the area to see if they have an international section. Two large chains in Chicago carry some English stuff including chocolate. I tried Flakes but like Yorkie better. The Heinz tomato soup from England is good but very expensive.

ditto checking larger grocery stores. Podunk Maine here and one of our major chains carries both Aero and British Kit Kats, as well as chocolate Smarties.

We love English Cadbury chocolates! Another place to try if you have one near you is World Market. We've had good luck there.

Also if there are any local Irish or Scottish Fests that come to your area they usually have a few vendors that sell them. We always get a nice supply up at Irish Fest in Milwaukee.

Love British chocolate, digestives and crisps. Favorite are Mint Aeros, McVities milk chocolate digestives and Walker's Smokey Bacon Crisps.

We usually get the digestives at the base commissary in the International Food ailse. We can also get Flakes and Crunchies there too.

Do not buy from Britishdelights.com during the summer. I purchased some Mint Aeros and Walker's Crisps one time and the chocolate was completely melted when the package arrived. I had paid the extra for a cold pack to be used. They put the chocolate at the bottom of the package and put the crisps on top of them, then they put the cold pack on top of that. They created an oven packing it the way they did. I called customer service and they would not do a thing about it. They could not guarantee shipping of chocolate during the summer even with a cold pack. I will not buy from them again until they will get their shipping department straightened out.
