Hi there! In your opinion, what is the best place on Main Street to watch Paint the Night and then the fireworks? Thanks!

The "best" view is going to be subjective, but I would prioritize finding a good spot for fireworks. Pretty much anywhere along the PtN parade route will give you a good view of the parade. Personally, I like watching Disneyland Forever from on Main Street somewhere between the end of the street and the Candy Palace. You'll have a good view of the projections and effects on MS and potentially a pretty good view of the castle, but you won't be able to see the Matterhorn.

The Hub is also a popular viewing spot. You'll have a much better view of the castle and the Matterhorn, but it's harder to see the effects on MS. The prime viewing spots (directly in front of the castle) will fill up early.

Between the end of the street and the Candy Palace...to you, does it matter what side of Main Street?

I prefer to be between the center and right side of MS (when facing the castle).

I like this area, too, and try to get near the pedestal clock on the street. The fireworks after Paint the Night shoot off a bit to the left of the castle, so you want to make sure you have a clear view of the sky there.

We watched the fireworks/PTN from the same spot on the Hub two different nights. We were on the hub right in front of the Matterhorn. We were able to see Tinkerbell and all of the Castle/Matterhorn effects. We got to our spot on the Hub right after the first PTN parade.

Also agree with Main Street suggestions. Also only needed to be there 30-40 minutes before during Christmas week. For PTN second show is much less crowded. We only waited 30 minutes to watch from across from teacups in front of materhorn, under the monorail track. Probably could have even showed up 15 minutes before and stood in the second row. Also during Christmas week. For second show it come from main street so you get a nice long view.

Parades will start depending where the last parade finished so if the last one finished down by Main street, the next one will start at Main street and if it finished by Small World, the next one will start by Small world. Sitting on any bench is always nice but you would have to be on that bench at least an hour and a half before the parade starts(more or less right after the last parade ended) to save it as a lot of families also do that. I've watched the parade from all over and can't say anything was particularly better except sitting on the bench.

I've never liked the huge crowds for the fireworks so I prefer to watch them from outside the park in the middle between the entrances as the last thing we do or even from the top of the parking structure which is also a great view. It also helps you avoid the mass crowds that exit the park after.

Following...can we see Tinkerbell here as well?
You can see Tinkerbell from Main Street (along with Nemo). The biggest drawback to Main Street (on the street, between the buildings) is that you can't see the Matterhorn, so the Mt. Wannahockalougie sequence isn't as impressive. You'll still see Nemo "swim" past the castle and hover in the air, but you won't see the projections on the Matterhorn.

I've watched the fireworks from the Esplande as well and it's an okay view, but it's worth noting that you won't be able to see the projections, the effects on the MS buildings, Tinkerbell, Nemo, or the low level fireworks. Also, they didn't play the music out on the Esplande when I was there. So, I think the Esplande is a good choice if you just want to see fireworks, but it's not a very good view is you want to see the entire fireworks show.

Ah I did not know that was called the esplande lol I cant wait to say that more now lol and yes you can not see everything you mentioned.
