Does anywhere on disney property serve sushi besides Japan in Epcot? If so, is there anything else on the menu for the "regulars" who don't care for sushi?

I really enjoy the sushi at California Grill, so that's a possibility. And when we stay at the Poly and everyone else is getting late-night snacks/dessert, my snack is sushi from the Kona sushi bar!

For traditional rolls and nigiri offerings, I like Kimonos at the Swan. There's not a whole lot there for sushi detractors, though. For more unexpected rolls, the California Grill is the best.

I agree with PP. I like traditional sushi, not really into the fattening rolls. So Kimonos is my favorite.

Ca Grill is very good but it's more about the rolls there.

California Grill and Kona are both good options for groups where some members enjoy sushi while others don't. You can order from the sushi bar while dining at Kona, so the non-sushi types have a whole menu of other options to choose from, and sushi is just one small section of the menu at California Grill.

Kimonos looks so good to me and the two of my kids that enjoy sushi, but there's just not much on the menu there for my fish-allergic DH or non-sushi-eating mother and daughter so I never seem to work it into our plans.

Definitely Kimono's!! They have the best sushi on property.

Yeah, that's a tricky situation. Maybe on a future trip you'll have occasion to eat at another Swan/Dolphin restaurant and you and the other sushi lovers can stop by Kimonos for a quick appetizer beforehand.

We really enjoyed the sushi at WPC at DTD 2 years ago (last time we had reg. DDP). And there are plenty of choices for non-fish eaters as well.

Here are some photos

This was the sushi meal available as a credit on the DDP. There are other choices as well.

We enjoyed this location so much that we dined here 3 times that trip.:cloud9:

Not to hijack this thread, but is there a reason I cannot make ressies at Kimonos thru the WDW dining site? Do they not take ressies? Or, do I need to contact them directly?

Do you know if you can order Sushi to-go from them?

TIA:)

I just called Kimonos directly a few days ago and was told they no longer take reservations. I called because I tried to make ressies thru the S/D online system and Kimonos wasn't one of the choices in the scroll down menu. When I called, I was told Kimonos just takes walk ins now, no more ressies.

Thank you for the quick response:goodvibes That might work out ok for us then.

Not sure about sushi to go (I'd think they would accommodate this!)..but they do not take reservations. It's off the beaten path enough to where I don't think you'd have to wait very long for a table (unless you had a big party). Since it's not on the dining plan, most folks don't even consider this as one of their options (which is a HUGE loss on their part!!)

Since not everyone in your party likes Sushi, you could get prepackaged rolls at Starring Rolls in Hollywood Studios, at Captain Cooks at the Poly and at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

These are all QS restaurants so you could grab a roll and the rest of your party would have other options.....

The quality of sushi at the CS restaurants vs. Kimonos or other places specializing in sushi are on two different levels.

I believe that I have had sushi at just about everywhere on property. I feel that Kimonos has the best. Plus, as others have said, it is slightly off the beaten path so there is not much competition and it is quieter there. Until the karaoke kicks in. ;)
