Best Place for Memorable Meal

One thing that disappointed us at DL in 2002 was the quality of the restaurants vs. the restaurants at WDW. If we wanted to get at least one memorable meal, where would you suggest? It can be in one of the parks, DD, or a resort hotel. We will have a 10 year old and 8 year old with us, so it has to have a decent kids menu.

Any suggestions for other restaurants, where the meal may not be memorable, but will be really good? They can be table or counter service.

Thanks everybody.

We really enjoyed the food and outdoor seating at Carnation Cafe. And after riding Pirates of the Caribbean for the first time, I wished I had a PS for Blue Bayou, I just wanted to sit in that bayou scene awhile. Just beautiful!

The Jazz KItchen!!! We went there with our 4yo and 1yo and it was crazy good! The kids meal was good, my 1 yo dd had the chicken strips, and it came with grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and fruit. I think, but the sampler appitizer was soooo good. We also enjoyed Goofys Kitchen for breakfast, and the food there was good and it was a character breakfast which is cool. My son loved it, my daughter hated it. I hope this helps, weve only been once. Also, the Cafe Orleans. Not much to choose from, but its fun to sit outside and people watch. The monte cristo was good though.

Yamabuki!!! It is sooooo good, the atmosphere is great and the service is fantastic.

I have to agree with staley7580, the Jazz Kitchen has always been very good. The Blue Bayou is also very good, though you really have to plan for it and make the reservations early or be prepared to wait a while. Even with reservations you still have a little wait.

I really have to strongly disagree with this vote - it gave us memories, but not pleasant ones. We really enjoyed Granville's at DLR - excellent food, not sure about a kids menu - just hubby and I went out for a night.

just a word of advice, eat your dinners early since they close around 8PM. THen you have to go to DTD, which is busy busy busy!

well I did Granvilles, BB and Storytellers in GC hopefully I picked some good choices

The most memorable place in terms of atmosphere would be the Blue Bayou. Make your reservations for the first seating time and you have a good chance of sitting right on the water. It's expensive, but really cool! :thumbsup2
