Best place for groceries near DL?

We'll have a rental car so anywhere near DL is okay. Which grocery store is best for price & selection in Anaheim or Garden Grove?

I like Ralph's at Chapman and Euclid, DW likes Albertson's at Katella and Brookhurst. We also shop at Food4Less on Katella east of Euclid because of the prices, but the selection is lacking.

We went to Albertson's in June and I found it not that good. Prices were almost like the prices here in Hawaii, I was amazed at the difference between the Albertson's there and say the one in Mission Viejo. The fruit selection was pretty bad too, but for basics water, soda, milk, etc. they had what we needed so I was happy for that.

It depends on what you want to buy. If you just want milk, cereals, bread, drinks, water bottles, and snacks, there's a Target at S. Harbor and Chapman.

And while you're there...there's a $1 Store next door to Target in the same plaza that sells Disney souvies (for the kiddies). They have notebooks, pencils, pens, stationary sets, etc. We always go there so DDs can bring stuff home for their friends.

If you want a nice grocery store I'd recommend Von's in west Garden Grove. It's kind of far - about 7 miles west of Harbor Blvd on Chapman Ave, but it's got a lot of pluses to make up for the distance. E.g. a good selection of ready-made meals and hot soups, a Starbucks kiosk, a Panda Express, a nice bakery, wine selection, etc. I could see someone staying at GCV going there to stock up for some in-room cooking. A little higher-priced maybe, but they have a great selection, and your grocery bill is going to be a tiny fraction of any Disney vacation.

(There is another Von's closer to DL, don't remember it being as good - YMMV)

There is a Henry's Market on Harbor Blvd in Fullerton. It's about 4 miles north of DLR. In that same center is a Target and Ruby's Diner. In N Out Burger is across Orangethorpe, caddy corner from Ruby's.
