Can anyone tell me where is the best place for character photos. We are traveling to the park inn January and returning in February. Our group will have 6 children ages 2-6. We will have Boys looking for pirates and girls looking for Princesses as well as little ones who love Pooh.

Personally, a few years ago we went to MGM, and there were plenty of characters in front of the Aprentice's Hat. However, they tended to be Mickey, Goofey, Chip and Dale, etc.

Back to your question. If you can afford it, Crystal Palace at MK has Pooh Character meals all day. It's a great time.

Also at MK, you can go to Mickey's land to meet Princesses, however, that can be a long wait. A better bet is the TS resteraunt at Norway in Epcot. They have a Princesses meal (go for b'fast). Great place to go.

I have met Captain Hook at MK, but really haven;t seen that many pirates, but I know they're out there.

For princesses Mickeys Toon Town is a must, get there early and you can see Cinderella, Belle and Aurora without too much wait. We did get Captain Hook and Mr Smee near The Pirates of the Caribbean. Pooh and friends can be found just out side of Toon Town near the playground. These are our experiences and I'm sure other's will have better tips.

The best place to get all the Pooh characters is at AK, at the Character Landing. You can see Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger there. For Princesses, you can see 3 of them in Toontown (it usually is Cinderella, Belle, and Aurora but it can change). You can see Aladdin and Jasmine by the Carpet ride. There are also a lot of princesses in Epcot. Mulan is in China, Snow White is in Germany, Jasmine is in Morocco, Belle and Aurora are in France, and Mary Poppins and Alice are in UK. There really aren't that many characters in the way of pirates. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee really are the only ones out. They are across from the PotC ride. However, there is a really good show starring Captain Jack right next to the ride as well. He even picks a few kids to be in the show. It is performed 6 times a day.

Hit a character meal for the princess - norway get lot so of nice photo ops.

the night we went to MK, we waited till almost time for the fireworks and went to toontown and went to the tents we were the last people let in and got to see belle, cinderella, and sleeping beauty. And after that we went and stood outside of the pooh ride and watched the fireworks they were awesome!

I know you didn't mention Mickey and Minnie, but my kids (and us big kids as well) always have to see them on our trips - the best place we've found is at Camp Minnie Mickey in Animal Kingdom - best time is while the Festival of the Lion King show is going on, as the greeting trails for Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald are to the right of the theater and not busy when everyone's in the show. Nice private covered areas with each individual character, and they're in their camping or safari gear.
Another good spot to see Eeyore and Pooh and Tigger is at Epcot in the United Kingdom in the Toy Shoppe - special room at the back and great to wait in the air conditioning. Times are listed in the park schedule - usually start at 1pm.

Our trip last year was alot about seeing Winnie the Pooh. So we saw him everywhere we could see him or at least everywhere that I knew of. MK, at the CP, we ate there on three separate days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's great and a must I think for Pooh fans. Only place that we saw Piglet. At MK, we also saw Pooh and Tigger by Pooh's play area. The wait is outside in the sun though and when we were there, there wasn't a photopass person. At AK, we saw Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore at the character landing twice. I really liked it there, even though it was very hot out, it seemed nicer there since it was somewhat covered. Then Epcot, we went to the character meet at the United Kingdom, which was cool from the standpoint that you got a picture of all three of them, Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore together. However, you have to endure a wait in a toy store, which is hard with a little one who wants to roam and pick up toys. I had heard that noone knew about this spot to see Pooh, but obviously when we were there last year, the word was out and everyone knew about it.

We saw the Princesses in Toontown, with like no wait. And we saw Captain Jack over by the POTC ride one night and there was like no wait. In fact the CM was outside the location trying to get people to come in to see Captain Jack.

Hope that helps.

IMHO

Cheapest/Best Way to See Pooh and Friends is the landing on the way to Dinoland in AK. The Best Way to See Pooh and Friends is CP at MK.

Pirates are tough, but if the boys are 3 and up they can do the pirate adventure from GF. You can also ask a CM when you get to MK about Pirate Character spotting.

Princesses . . . Cheapest but Most Consistent is ToonTown, but Epcot has great princesses so keep your eyes peeled (not Cinderella). 1900 Park Fare and Norway have Character meals. Norway has so many princesses and DH won't mind it either :lovestruc

We just got back on Sunday :( and here are some spots you might want to head to.
AK- Camp Minnie Mickey = Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Koda
The old boat landing - Winnie the Pooh, Eyore, Tigger, Piglet
Spot on walkway heading from Asia towards Tusker House- Baloo
Also Rafiki, by the DVC station heading towards Camp Minnie Mickey had
Lilo and Stitch. We took the train to Conservation STation and found
Rafiki and Jiminy Cricket.
EPCOT - By the breezway there are the fab 5 (Character Spot inside)
World Showcase - Mexico - Donald, France = Aurora, Belle, Beast,
Morocco - Jasmine, Aladdin, Genie, - Germany - Snow White &
Dopey, UK- Alice, Mary Poppins, inside the back gift shop -Winnie
the Pooh, Tigger, Eyeore (if you go when the British Invasion is
playing they were all dancing around),
GHS - Quite a few by the hat. There are characters scattered all through
the park. Mater and Lightening McQueen were back by the exit of
the Muppet movie.
MK - Town Square, Toontown, Pirates, found the fairy godmother at the
back of the castle,

There is also all the character meals. We did 1900's Park Fare for the first time. Cinderella, Prince, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizilla. Asked them to sing a very "lovely" rendition of Nightengale. It was great. Sad to be back! Have fun!

We have found a few places great for character pictures:

Toon Town in MK
inside maingate at MK
At DHS under the blue sorcerer hat
At AK along camp mickie minnie trail
