Hi all,
We are staying at the BLT in November - this will be the first time for us in a resort with monorail access. What is the best place for us to take in a good breakfast? There are 5 adults and two little ones (DD3 and DD1) on this trip. Thanks for any opinions. Oh yeah, one more thing - I am a coffee lover so I really like a real cup with breakfast.

I have never eaten at Kona but I hear you can get a real cup of coffee there. As far as breakfasts I have had on the monorail line go...O'Hana was delish! We also always make it to Captain Cooks (CS) for some Tonga Toast which I believe is also served at Kona!!

Lots of great choices We like Kona, Ohana & GF Cafe.

If you aren't looking for characters...go to Kona. YUM!! Good value, yummy coffee, Tonga Toast and Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes. :thumbsup2

We haven't eaten there, yet, but the Grand Floridian Cafe looks like it has a great breakfast menu. Sorry I can't give you a testimonial, but we won't have a meal there until November.

So many good choices! CM is fun if you want characters. Ohana is great if you want to submerge yourself in a tropical paradise. The Kona has great food.:thumbsup2

Since your already staying at Bay Lake Tower have you thought about using the skybridge to the Contemporary and trying Chef Mickey's, The Wave or the Contempo Cafe?

Gotta be the Kona Cafe. They have the most distinctive food AND if you mentioned coffee that makes it a no-brainer.

Kona edges out Grand Floridian Cafe for best breakfast

We've eaten at both the Kona at the Poly and the Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast. They both have a pretty quiet relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a nice start to your morning. Kona's coffee is exceptional (french pressed)...but the GF Cafe has it's own charm too. I don't think you'd go wrong with either.

If you want the best food go to Kona Cafe @ The Polynesian. If you want a fun character breakfast with a standard (but good) breakfast buffet then go to Chef Mickey's @ the Contemporary. IMHO, Kona Cafe won't be much fun for your kids - Chef Mickey's has a great atmosphere & they will get to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald & Pluto.

The Kona Cafe has a really good breakfast menu.
There's usually two of us and we share a Big Kahuna.

I would defiantely say Kona. And since you said your a coffe lover I don't drink coffee but DH does says best in Disney.

Kona is probably the best place. GF Cafe is pretty good too.
As Resort Fan suggests, the Wave is pretty good also. Just stay away from what they call bacon--flavorless--not even as good as the precooked bacon you can get out of those boxes at the grocery store.

Wow, Kona has a lot of support. Based solely on the coffee we may need to hit it up. We are planning on Chef Mickey's for the character breakfast but that one is pretty much for our daughters as I have heard mixed reviews on the food. I also believe the coffee is the instant, not so good stuff.

go to konas, last time we ate at chef mickey food was so bad we thought about walking out on the bill
