we are going to be at Disneyland for 4 nights in Dec. :cool1: We have one night with a sitter. where should we eat? we have no idea. suggestions? we are looking for good food, nice setting, romance, and price is not a problem. we want to either eat at a park, or one of the hotels, not downtown disney (most of those are chains that we could go to anytime.) thanks in advance

Pretty sure they don't serve any alcholol in DL anywhere. DCA being different with that.

I told my DH they didn't serve any, but he still asked when we were ordering at the Blue Bayou. I can't drink, so it's never an issue for me. :)

If you want to eat in the parks, then try Blue Bayou at Disneyland (no alcohol). At DCA, try the Vineyard Room which serves a multi-course meal and serves alcohol. The Napa Rose, at the Grand, can't be beat and is just beautiful. Paradise Pier has Yamabuki which is another wonderful restaurant.

Check out www.allearsnet.com. They have menu's/prices for parks, hotels and DTD and you can see what you like. (Bottom left go to Disneyland, and then go to the top bar and click on DLR Dining. There will be a menu on the left for the different areas.) Enjoy your evening!!!

If price is not an issues I STRONGLY recommend Steakhouse 55, it's just been remodeled and renamed (used to be called Granville's Steakhouse) and so M-W right now they are giving Annual pass Holders 30% off, so we took advantage of that, it was great, some other great places without kids are:
Hook's Pointe
Blue Bayou
Napa Rose
The Wine Country Tatoria (a lot cheaper)
or the Restaurant above the wine country tatoria, I forget it's name, but here it is excellent as well.

Another vote for Napa Rose.
Hook's Pointe would be second.
Have a great time:) .

If you have connections Club 33...

Only place you can get alcohol also.. The view is incredible. The atmosphere was great..

I haven't been to Napa Rose but I haven't heard about anyone who didn't enjoy their meal and the overall experience. I have been to Hook's Pointe, most recently a couple of weeks ago and it was wonderful. Excellent food and service. There will be some kids there, but not as many as Blue Bayou which being in the park is a huge draw for families. I love Blue Bayoue but I would probably say to do that one for lunch with your kids and go to one of the resort or DTD restaurants for your night out.

Napa Rose, absolutely! If you can (and are interested), ask to be seated at the kitchen counter (ask when you make reservations, since they only have so many seats to go around). It is great to be able to talk to the kitchen staff, and they occasionally offer some extra bites.

Either at the counter or in the dining room, Napa Rose is a great dining experience. Spectacular food, incredible wine list, and a gorgeous setting. We would not hesitate to fly there (from Indiana) just for dinner. Rodney, Wendy, and John are all incredible servers - as are the rest, I'm sure. Michael Jordan (the manager there, not the basketball player) has done a wonderful job training the staff and making sure that the service is impeccable. Michael is a super-nice guy to boot.

Blue Bayou is a fun place to eat, but I wouldn't call it romantic. Waiting with cranky, hungry people in the cramped lobby isn't romantic at all. ;) Of course, maybe December will be a little better than April for the "crowded" factor.

Don't know if it was said already but the Vineyard Room was really great. In January, a bunch of my girlfriends from all over the US planned a trip out to DL and had dinner there and it was so good!

That is true, if you have a long wait that isn't romantic. We only waited 5 minutes for a water table last month, so we got lucky!

But a water table there I found very romantic. The ride was shut down, and it was quiet and peaceful, with all the fireflys ect... I found that to be romantic anyway!

Yeah, I can see the Blue Bayou being very romantic, I just have to go there with my kids because its their favorite! Of course I have to clairfy, dh and I have date night very rarely and have been known to eat at Wendy's when we do! So BB is a definite step up for us in the romance department!:rotfl:

i know how you feel. we have been known to have date night at in and out burger and barnes and noble, so this is a treat for us :cloud9:
thanks for all the ideas everyone. napa rose will probably be our choice due to the wine pairing, but maybe we will try BB at lunch with the kids.
