My family and I are going to Disney in May and we'd like to try one of these places for a character dinner. These are some few we haven't been to, so we want to try at least one of them during our trip this year.

-1900 Park Fare
-Chef Mickey's
-Crystal Palace

So, which one do you prefer? Whether it be for the characters, food, atmosphere, etc.

Thanks in advance! :flower3:

I have only been to Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace. We loved Chef Mickey's because of the characters and the food. We've had great luck with character interaction, service, and food quality at CM. Crystal Palace has Pooh and the gang and my DS is not really fond of them. Also, for some reason the Crystal Palace seemed really loud! The service was also less than stellar. I've heard good things about 1900 Park Fare, but only breakfast. Hopefully someone can give you a complete dinner review.

Enjoy your vacation!

Hi there we have ds9 dd6 and Chef mickeys for a late Breakfest has become a staple on our trips. So much to Eat Hot and Yummie, Great Views of the Magic Kingdom and monorail. Did Crystal Palace for the first time last year, Dinner was great, great food lots hot and also yummy and lots of Character TIme. 1900 park fare was good food was great not may Characters though. Restaurant Akershus food was pretty good for being Nothern Eurpeaon style but the lots of Princesses.

We just went to Crystal Palace, and loved it! They have a good system of rotating the characters around the room, so you see them coming. They go around the outside of the room, then loop back the other direction on the inner tables (does that make sense?)So you can get your plates accordingly so you don't miss them.
The dinner was good, the prime rib was AMAZING. If you get it fresh cut. if its kind of at the end, wait for the next one to come out. It was kinda weird though, for a character meal, there wasn't too much for the kids. Just chicken nuggets and mac and cheese, and then there was cheese pizza in the adult buffet area. But LOTS of fresh fruit (which iss enough to keep my kids happy)
And the dessert selection...oh mama! i didn't know whare to start!

Liberty Tree wasn't on your list, but that's my pick.;)

But out of your list, Crystal Palace wins for me. The characters were very interactive and came around at least twice each - and that was during a super busy July evening.

Hope whatever you pick works out well for you. It will.:)

Chef Mickey's
Your kids will love to take the monorail there, as well as watch it zoom by during dinner!
The character interaction is really great!

we are trying for Chef Mickey and LTT for the first time in our upcoming trip. It's great to hear good things about both.

I have done the Crystal Palace and love it. The food is really good.

Chef Mickey's is really fun with awesome food. Cindy's is also great for breakfast.

I also forgot about Garden Grill. The food is good and it's really a different dinner experience. My family always loved the funny farmer hats they give you.
