What is the best resort for family of 5? 1 being my mother that my husband doesn't want to be to close too. Or is it better doing 2 rooms at a value?

If you aren't going to try and get everyone in one room because your husband doesn't want to be close to your mom, then I would get 2 rooms at whatever resort has the theme that appeals to you the most.

I think that not wanting to be "Too Close" may result in 2 rooms at a Value Resprt. if that doesn;t work consider the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Campground. There is a bedroom with one doulbe bed and a set of Bunk Beds in the separate bedroom. The Living Room has a (comfortable) double Murphy Bed. Could Mom and Kids have the bedroom and you and DH have the Murphy bed? This might be the solution.

You could also look into the family suites at ASMu or the junior suites at CS. The one bedrooms at the DVC resorts would also give you a bit more privacy. You will get a tiny kitchen area at ASMu or in the DVC locations.

Value Family Suites go fast. I can't find one for the beginning of January 2008. They appear to be gone already.

Not surprising since many people will book room only and then convert to a package when the next year's rates go out.

OP didn't say when she was going so I thought I'd toss it out as an option.

If your DH doesn't want to be close to your mom, then I definitely suggest 2 rooms. It will probably make the vacation more enjoyable.

Well, if I were vacationing with my husband's mother. I'd request two value rooms in different resorts. :lmao:

Seriously though, with three adults, two rooms would be a much better choice. It would give everyone the space and privacy they need.
