Best pizza at Disney

I never heard the "its a chain" accusation about Via Napoli before.
Where do you get that information?

It isn't. There are several restaurants around the country called "Via Napoli" but they're all independent of one another, they just happen to have the same name.

Ooooooh!!! This is making me soooo excited for Via Napoli, which we have ADR's for! Looking at those pics, I know DH is going to LOVE it!!! That's exactly the kind of pizza he loves.:banana::banana:

Not sure if I would consider Via a "chain":

Via Napoli was created by the renowned Patina Restaurant Group, which also operates the popular Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria at the Disneyland Resort and the Naples 45 Ristorante e Pizzeria in New York City, which was awarded the coveted La Vera Pizza Napoletana certification.

Friends dont let friends order disney pizza.
Sorry but the very very BEST pizza on Disney property is at the Hess Gas Station at the exit of Magic Kingdom. It's DELICIOUS.
It's about 7 bucks for a large pizza that will feed 3 or 4 people easily.
They have a table in the store where you can sit as well and will give you paper plates if you need them.
the Hess station at the boardwalk does not have it.
the one at dtd has pizza but it's never fresh and good.

if possible ask for a fresh one to be made for you.

I haven't had good pizza anywhere in Disney, but then again I am from chicago so my expectations are very high.

You're not going to get Chicago style pizza like Gino's or Lou's at WDW. But you might get something better than the Barnaby's thin crust. For anything that is "flatbread style" pizza, you'll find that Via Napoli is definitely the best of the class for that.

And if you like non-traditional flatbread pizzas, I liked the pulled pork one at the Territory Lounge (next to Artist Point) at the Wilderness Lodge. They had cole slaw on it, and it worked so well with the pork on the flatbread. You can find a lot of signature restaurants serve a lot of good flatbread varieties.

Wow.

I'd forgotten all about the pizza at that Hess station !

It's been years, but as I recall it WAS pretty darned tasty, especially for the price.

And while some folks may thumb their noses at eating a pizza from a gas station, let me assure you that you can do FAR worse in most of the parks for three times the price !

The pizza there at the Hess is fresh and piping hot made to order (if you request it) and tastes a lot like how the old pizza hut pan pizza USED to taste (particularly the crust).

Disney pizzas are premade off site now and cooked the same as a frozen pizza. If you watch some of the disney parks uncovered specials on the travel channel, they actually show you their new automated pizza making system at disney and they are sooo proud of it.
It's icky.

oh the walk up window at via napoli is pretty good but different than what most people may be used to for pizza. Very light fluffy crust, just some fresh crushed tomatoes and cheese (and pepperoni)....it is very basic and delicious.
About 4 bucks a slice i believe...and you can eat a slice in about 5 bites. It doesn't look small but it is pretty light and fluffy in the crust.

I can safely say I NEVER anticipated uttering the following words EVER in my life, but I will now:
I'm looking forward to trying gas station pizza! We're SO there! THANKS for dee tips!! :)

Honestly I don't know why but I feel like the pizza at Pizzafari is the best on property although I don't eat a ton of pizza there and I am looking forward to trying Via Napoli the next time we are there.

For the person who suggested pizza delivery from off site, I've been doing some checking on this myself. A lot of folks are suggesting Flippers. We plan on trying this on our next trip.

Via Napoli hands down :lovestruc

I once had it to-go at the window when it was offered and it wasn't that great, but when we dined in it was AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHmazing!
