Best part of Thankgiving week- No parties!

We visited during Thanksgiving week this year for the first time. We have visited quite a few times in December before but this was our first Thanksgiving trip. I loved that there were no MVMCP parties during Thanksgiving week It was so nice being able to visit MK any night we wished during the week and not having to worry about the parties. We'll definitely do this week again, it was great!

What days were you there? What were the crowds like the days leading up to Thanksgiving? I would not want to be there over Thanksgiving weekend, but if the days leading up to it are good, I'd consider it.....

We got there Saturday 11/22 and left Saturday 11/29. It really wasn't bad at all, no where near Easter week crowds. More like our June trips. It was definitely busy on Thanksgiving Day in MK, but that was the only horrible crowd we saw. We went back to MK Black Friday and I have never done so much in the first 2 hours of a park as we did that day. Frontierland and Adventureland were DEAD. Epcot was pretty empty that night too, even with it being the first night of the Holiday's Around the World. I really thought it was a great week to go, will definitely do it again!

Yeah, the parties are a real drag on the MK days during the fall.

Thanks for the intel! I don't think I would ever want to miss Thanksgiving at home with my family - it's my favorite holiday. But good to know that the week leading up to it might be an option!
