Hi, I'm taking my son to Disney in September for the first time. He will be 2. Can you give me some advice on what theme parks will be good to go to that are suited to his age? I don't want to waste my time going to a park that hasn't got any rides suitable. We are definitely going to go to MK! He loves Disney junior so was hoping to find a park that will have the characters from that channel.
Thanks
Jen

Hi! Here is a great link to all the 4 theme parks & downtown disney. The link will tell you about the attractions, height requirements etc. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/themeparks.htm
Your 2 year old will be able to ride many of the attractions. There are only a handful at each park that have a height requirement. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/height.cfm
Hollywood Studios has a Disney Jr live stage show. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/mgm/st-playhouse.htm

At 2 years old, LIFE is exciting. a 2 year old could find enjoyment just sitting in grass. So have fun planning a trip that you will enjoy as well...Because really this trip is for you, to remember how much fun your baby had!! You won't be wasting your time, it will be a great trip.

Breakfast with Dis jr live at Hollywood studios! My then2 yr old loved it!!!

Also, make time to just enjoy him. Some of my son's favorite things were the bridge at the wilderness lodge and just people watching in his stroller

We took my DD on her first trip when she was 2 and, for her, Disney WAS MK so we went there most often. We did go to Epcot and did the Duffy passport where you color a passport at the first country and then you stop at each country for a stamp. It was super cute and DD loved it! She also loved the Disney Jr show but that was the extent of what we did at HS. We spent maybe a couple hours at AK. DD loved the Lion King show but wasn't really interested in anything else. She loves animals but we made the mistake of telling her it was a Disney zoo so she was expecting an actual zoo LOL! Oops!!

My little ones love MK, of course, but the best Disney Junior experience is at HS. We love eating at H&V and meeting the characters and then watching the Disney Jr Live on Stage show. So much fun! There are lots of Disney Jr character meet and greets as well.

All of the parks are suitable for toddlers but some more so than others. MK, of course, is awesome for little ones. The Disney Jr. characters are at DHS. While Epcot has many things for older kids and adults, they also have Finding Nemo and Turtle Talk, which my DD loved at that age. AK has a huge playground and sandbox that my DD loved at 2. She also really enjoyed the Lion King and the safari there.
