Can anyone share their opinions on the best over the counter cream for Eczema? My 8yr old son suffers from it and we have tried Eucerin, Cetaphil, Aveeno, Cortaid....anyone have opinions on what works best. We also have a prescription cream for flareups....but what do you think works best? He especially suffers on his right hand and elbow...thanks!

not a dumb question. We eat it. However, I think I have heard that you can apply it as well. My same daughter gets unbearable fever blisters too (yes - she has it ALL - but she is BEAUTIFUL) and I have heard that applying yogurt directly to the spot helps. However, EATING YOGURT also prevents outbreaks of fever blisters. hmmm - maybe we SHOULD start a thread on this. As I said - she has pretty much outgrown the eczema so she really doesn't eat much yogurt for that reason - but what we do when she gets a fever blister is - APPLY ICE! It is great for fever blisters. Works WAY BETTER than any and all otc or prescr topicals: camphophenique (I have no idea how to spell this
