Best options for WL standard room request?

Making plans for a Mid December visit. Haven’t been in about four years and have never stayed at the WL. Looking for a mostly a quiet room but a view would be nice as well.

Just back from WL last week. Had booked a standard view and requested a high floor. They gave me 6th floor (7th is club level), but the room overlooked the service areas complete with dumpsters. Some truck traffic early in the morning which woke us up each day. View looking down was awful but the plus was that we could see Space Mountain over the trees and saw the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our balcony.

If you are a light sleeper - I would not recommend this location. I don't know if you can request a different standard view room - maybe someone else does.

Have you checked availability? If you're talking about THIS December, you might want to see if WL is still available. This resort sells out quickly with the standard rooms being first to go.

A LONG time ago, we had a standard room that was on the ground floor facing the woods. (South Side) This room would now be looking at the WLV and their pool.

It was serene and peaceful.
