:wizard: We will be staying at CBR for 11 days and think we might need to order a case or so of water and maybe a few snacks, etc to have in the room. What it the best option for ordering these items? I've seen mention of Amazon Pantry, Staples, Costco....we won't be ordering enough to use the services with $40-50 minimums. Can you purchase cases of water at the gift shops or is it a single bottle only sale? How far in advance do we need to order?
Thanks!!

If you order 2 cases of water and then some snacks you actually might not be too far off from the minimum. From what I've heard is that while water is sold at resorts it's often not in stock and the price fluctuates. Garden Grocer has competitive prices, but delivery is $14 on orders over $40. You'd get more for your dollar if you do an Amazon Pantry box.

My thinking is: if I order from Costco it is then delivered right to my room. If you buy it in the shop at your resort you then very well May have to carry it back to your room yourself. I've never had any issues ordering a case from Costco about 5 days ahead of our arrival :)

The shop at CBR has cases of water for $6.69 each.

I agree with this. This past trip I just got a case of water from the store. They are only 12 oz. bottles, not 16 oz. but that didn't really bother us. During our 10 day trip, I noticed that the store always had them stocked. The only downside to it is that we had to carry it to our room but between me and 2 teenagers, it wasn't a big deal. I will do this again for the next trip. One less thing for me to worry about before we leave and it isn't too expensive.

Is this something that's always available?
Where I have seen water bottle cases, there is not a lot of room on the shelf (POFQ, Poly). If you don't see it, ask. They don't stack them up so if one gets sold, the spot will be empty.

Amazon Prime Pantry is great, super easy, order about 5 days before arrival. Or Staples works great too. Have done both and no complaints with either. No inflated prices either.

We have bought the case from the gift shop and then bought the gallon jugs from the gift shop to refill the bottles too.

So when you have Amazon Prime deliver you just give them the resort address as the shipping address? Not sure exactly how this works...:confused3

Are the cases of water available at all resorts? Specifically looking for AoA availability :)

Use your name, guest, check in date, c/o the resort name, and then the resort address.

Jane Doe, Guest Check-in 5/27/16
c/o Caribbean Beach Resort

So far, as of May 15th, AoA is the ONE resort that doesn't carry cases of water.

I would do amazon prime pantry. We did it in Sept (smart water was available then) along with juiceboxes and a bunch of snacks. We had free dining and it was just way too much food. The next time we go (hopefully with free dining again), we will just get water and juice boxes (and maybe coke in case we aren't close to the soda refill station). It was a pain to try to jam a bunch of leftover snacks along with all the souvenirs back into the luggage! Just something to keep in mind.

Plus, with amazon, the shipping is free and the prices are pretty much what we pay locally, so I didn't feel gouged. Just remember you don't need to fill the box! :)

Just beware if you are staying at one of the resorts with a shipping/convention center. Anything that is mailed via any method other than USPS will go to the shipping center, you will have to pick it up there (during somewhat limited hours) and you will be charged a fee based on the weight of your item.

So this would apply to Amazon Prime and Amazon Pantry orders (Staples, too, I think) because they are sent via UPS.

::yes::

We are staying at Coronado.
Does this also apply to Kingdom strollers? We are renting a stroller and decided to purchase 2 cases of bottled water from them. They will be dropping them off a few hours before we check-in. Do you think I will be charged by Coronado for the cases of water?
