Best options for MCO to resort after 10 pm?

Hello. My son (age 11) and I are traveling to WDW on 3/21 and are flight arrives around 10 pm.

What are the best options for getting from MCO to CBR that late at night. Would Uber/Lyft cost more or be harder to get? I was looking at the Sunshine Flyer/Mears but I think they stop at 11 and I worry about what if our flight gets delayed.

Means Connect runs 24 hours. Sunshine Flyer doesn’t run after 11. Mears Connect would be my personal choice, but you shouldn’t have trouble getting a rideshare at that time.

If you decide on a ride share, the wait isn’t normally long unless traffic in the airport is crazy. So check the app before you get baggage so you can order the Uber to arrive as soon as your bags do!

Do you all recommend one rideshare over the other? I've used both Uber and Lyft maybe once each in the past. I have had some bad experiences with independent shuttle companies when traveling (charging credit card twice, charges not matching stated price).

I've used both Uber and Lyft from MCO to WDW. The only difference might be the price, and you can compare before you make a commitment. At 10 pm, there probably won't be much traffic and the rates should be reasonable.

Warning: If you are coming in to Terminal C, you might have quite a wait for your luggage, unless something's changed since December, when I waited an hour for my bag to show up, so I don't recommend ordering your rideshare before you actually have your bag(s).

BTW, I used Mears Connect in December, and I was the only person on the van. I've never gotten to WDW so quickly from MCO, but it was after 11 pm at that point and there was zero traffic.

I believe in the "boots on the curb" ordering rule. You don't order an Uber or Lyft until you are standing at the point where you will be picked up, ready to get in the car.

If the car arrives and you aren't there, you can get charged a late fee. If you take too long, the driver can cancel the ride and you can get charged a cancellation fee.

Or get a taxi so you don’t have to order anything. Just get in a cab and go. It can be a few bucks more than Uber/Lyft but I like no waiting.

I've never used a taxi from MCO. Per mousesavers, a taxi costs $65-$75, plus tip, one way to WDW from MCO. Depending on the time of day, that could be twice the cost of Uber/Lyft. Assuming mousesavers is correct.

The most I ever paid for an Uber from MCO was $50 + tip and that was during rush hour. Usually it's more like $30 or $35 + tip.

For me it’s been about $50-55+ tip for a regular taxi from MCO. I wonder if mousesavers is averaging in more expensive town cars and such.

Even with a $15-20 difference I like how quick and easy it is. You’re in a car and moving less than 2 minutes from exiting the airport. But sure, ride share can save a few bucks with just a little bit more hassle and waiting.

Mears operates 24/7 so no issue there if you go with Mears Connect.. Uber/Lyft is also available 24/7 and easy to get, especially at MCO.

I second Uber and Lyft. I've used them as late at 1 am and had no problem getting them.
