Hi all,
I will be going to WDW for the second time in December of this year. I am travelling with my husband, grand-father, great-aunt and mother as well as my 3 boys (4yo and 20 month old twins).
We did MK last year with my husband and the boys. The rest of our party haven't been. We didn't do the parades or fireworks last time that we were there as sitting for a while to save a good spot was not really a possibility with the kids.
I would really like for my grand-father and great-aunt to experience the fireworks as this may be their only trip to WDW whereas we will likely go yearly for years to come. We tend to see our trips there as running away from the Canadian winter with a few WDW days thrown in so we aren't the type to want to do everything in the parks. The kids are still young and whilst they enjoy being there, they are pretty happy anywhere really. They can all nap in the stroller, so there is a good chance that they would sleep on and off during MVMCP, which is fine by us.
My question is, is it easier to get a good viewing spot for the parade and fireworks during the Christmas parties?
If so, we would probably do our MK day as the party only, show up at 4pm, do a few rides and then do shows, parade and fireworks and partake in the free snacks. If you still need to be in your spot an hour ahead to be able to see, we may just do MK during the day for a few rides and the atmosphere.
Secondly, are the line ups for the free snacks very long?
Thanks for all your insight!
