Curious to know what people think. I liked Captain Hook's ship at DLH but I think that's gone now? Which resort pools do you think are the most fun with the best ambiance?

The new pool at the DLH is pretty cool and pretty fun. I also like the pool at the CGH even though its fairly plain and simple. Not a big fan of the PPH's pool.

We like the DLH and GCH pools. Our most recent stay, we booked DLH so the kids could use the new slides, we thought this would be the bigger draw vs. a closer walk.

The kids did the slide the first day and then only maybe once or twice after that. Maybe mine are the exception to the rule? But they really just wanted to swim. Plus, later in the day, the slide lines would get long.

Yes the boat is gone.

If you have kids, DLH is always first. If not DLH or GCH. PPH is always last.

This was the same experience my children had at DLH. The first night it was fun, but after that the pool and slides were too crowded for them to enjoy. Also at the time of our visit (others say they haven't experienced this) it appeared that the parents were busy partying in the hot tubs and around the bar while they let their children run crazy around the slides. My smallest was pushed aside several times by kids running to get to the top of the slides. The way the chairs were set up by the pool it was hard to always have eyes on my girls, so I never relaxed while there.

The PPH pool is just a big pool, nothing special. The slide is fun, but again it's nothing special. One neat factor= one time we had a standard view room at PPH and my husband (up in the room relaxing with a beer) watched us swim from the room window. He looked straight down at us. All at the cheapest on site rate.

We prefer the GCH pools. We have never had an overcrowding issue. The CM supervision is great. My girls prefer the "tree slide" over the DLH monorail slides. The way the chairs are circling the pools, relaxing parents get great views. If you get a pool view room you can sit on the balcony and watch. For us , it was just a better atmosphere. :cloud9:

Even though my kids are young adults, they can not wait to try the DLH pool in a couple of weeks. Had a cabana for a day last year at the Grand, not my thing but the family really enjoyed the pools and the kick back day.

I'm so sad that the Peter Pan theme is gone. I think it has lots more magic than a monorail. With all the comments here, I think we've decided on GC. We have a 5-yo daughter but prefer to supervise her and have other kids supervised, as well. DLH sounds a bit chaotic. Thanks for your input! Still happy to hear other opinions, if there are any. :)
