Please give me your recommendations for the best quality online photo printing service. Our wedding photographer just gave us disks and now I need to get these pictures printed, but I want them to look as good as they do on my computer.

Thanks for your help and suggestions,

Lisa

I have had really good luck with shutterfly.com. All of my photos have turned out great and the service is very quick. Besids regular prints, I have tried the leather bound photo books which are really neat and I got a beautiful 16 x 20 black and white beach photo of my kids. :thumbsup2

I've been very happy with Mpix. They have a broader selection of papers, print sizes and other options (such as UV protective coatings) than Kodakgallery and Shutterfly, and IMO the print quality is superior.

i've had good luck with ofoto.com, now called kodakgallery.com.

another option you might not have thought about is uploading the photos and having them printed locally, then just go pick them up. at costcophotocenter.com you can upload photos and then go pick them up in an hour at your local costco. at snapfish.com you can upload photos and pick them up at your local walgreen's. and you don't have to pay shipping for local pickup!

I second Mpix. I have been very impressed with the photos I ordered from them.

the ones i use don't help you guys. but i know my mum and sister have used ofoto/Kodak and has been quite happy with the results.

i have used snapfish for years with no problems and they make a cute little spiral bound book for around 10-20 ( depending on the amount of photos ) as well as very good prints but personally for something as special as wedding photos i'd find a local photo shop that does in house printing/processing...just the possibility of losing them in the mail would make me a nervous wreck...if it's just reprints for the parents or something that's one thing but the "real ones" i'd get done locally by a good shop...jmho

I absolutely love shutterfly! My photos from the beach came out absolutely beautiful. Also, COSTCO does a really nice job in developing photos. Since I'll have so many photos from my Disney Trip, I'll probably get them developed at COSTCO since they have about the cheapest prints.

I also highly recommend MPIX, as the pop photo article states they are a lab aimed at pros. they cost a little more than the others, but the quality is superior,

for wedding pics I would definitely use them over walmart/costco or any chain lab.. you will get top quality prints on top quality paper...

for 5 dollars more than the regular shipping they will overnight your pics, that service is awesome..

Yup. The Pop Photo article also notes that Mpix was the clear winner when it came to reproducing human skin tones--an important consideration when ordering wedding photos. I've tried quite a few of the other services they rated (in fact, I've done my own little comparisons, printing the same images with a couple of different vendors), and the color of the Mpix prints, especially when it comes to skin tones, has been noticeably and consistently superior. Their b&w and sepia prints are also great.

Jann's suggestion to find a local lab is also a good one. I might also suggest to the op that she ask the photographer who s/he would recommend.

I'm a Costco gal! They have a " do NOT auto adjust" selection on the website and I always check that - so far they've looked as good as what I've had a home - and when they didn't (only once) - they reprinted the whole order for me!Great service and I love being able to just pick them up myself - I also use the matte finish - seldom do I print in Glossy.

I love snapfish. I like they I can order the matte finish, or glossy, prepay for cheaper prints, etc. I've always gotten great prints and service from them and love their photo project options!

For wedding photos, I vote Mpix too. I did an exact same 8x12 print from both Costco and Mpix, the Mpix quality is definitely better. It was a group shot from my grandmother's 100th birthday banquet so definitely worth the cost for the better quality.
