We just got back from our first family trip last month and stayed at FWC. My hubs has decided to run the Disney Marathon in January so we are going back, sans kids! Yay! :cool1:Which is the best on site resort for childless couples?

We chose POFQ for this trip because we wanted to experience a moderate and the look of the place appealed to us. Having said that, DH and I stayed at POP last September and had a ball!

I think it more depends on what amenities/atmosphere you are looking for and what price range you're in.

Moderate - Coronado Springs
Deluxe - Wilderness Lodge
Love them both and have had some very nice " just the Two of us " time at both

There are tons of kids at all of the resorts, but, I find that I LOVE the Polynesian and Animal Kingdom Lodge for their quietness!! As man kids as there are, you can always find a quiet place to go! Plus, I love the darker atmosphere too!

For an adult couple doing parks, I submit for your viewing pleasure the Boardwalk Inn. A little more pricey than other options but a lot less KID. I love Animal Kingdom Lodge, but for adults traveling solo, I recommend Boardwalk.

If you want peace, quiet and privacy you cant beat the cabins at FW, especially the cabins in the 2800 circle. Kids tend to stay away from the "boring" pool over there so it can be a nice get away

best overall, BWI - jellyrolls (dueling pianos bar), belle vue lounge, nice restaurants, evening street performers and carny games, multiple options for romantic strolls, 2 parks and minigolf within walking distance, beautiful and serene pool (on the inn side), lots to do or you can just as easily relax in almost total solitude :cloud9:
YC is another excellent choice, but the neighboring BC can be the total opposite as far as noise levels (loud) with lots of kids.

both have a very elegant look, with wonderful service.

My OH and I love the Grand Floridian, the theming is mature and there aren't as many children around as other resorts.

running a race - will probably make him to tire to do evenings

bwi/v, bc/v - both you can walk around the BW - well you also can from yc, D&S

if you would rather be close to DD - then SSR or OKW - you can walk, boat or bus to DD. now you can at any time walk back to SSR. okw only doing day time hours.

I would agree with others and say the Boardwalk area if you want some action. Otherwise I would go with OKW. It's so peaceful there and you really feel like you're getting away from it all. I've found that resort seemed to have a real "adult" feel to it compared to the others. The boat to DTD is a real perk as well. Plus, Olivia's is a good restaurant to grab a bite to eat.
