Best OKW 1BR room location

Hi, I will be phoning MS in a few hours to book our 1br for 7 months time (familiar feeling I'm sure)
But the first time for me at OKW.

Can you help us find the ideal room location, Just the 2 of us, no kids, no smoking and no car. I would like a quiet 1BR for 7 nights 24th Oct to 31st Oct, so we need a room.....

away from the road
away from family pools
closish to bus transport
closish to boat transport
closish to Olivias and the grocers
with a view of lakes/wildlife

Boy I am demanding aren't I ?He! He!

I know you guys can help and would it help to post this thread on the US DVC Dis? I've only got until 3pm UK time.

I wouldn't be tempted to request a particular villa number, as you're more likely to be unlucky. Instead, I'd go for general requests like you've mentioned - but maybe not as many as you've listed!

We've found the top floors to be quieter, so I always request that but, at OKW, this can be a mixed blessing if you're in a block without a lift!

Personally, if I wanted the kind of location you've suggested, I'd ask for:

non-smoking (or whichever, if this is important to you)
upper floor

and then I'd choose one more of whichever was the most important for me from

near Hospitality House or
lake view

However, I do think the more you set your sights on a particular location, the more you're setting yourself up for potential disappointment. I used to worry about getting the 'right' location, but now I'm happy to take pot luck and am mostly happy with the result. We tend to stay for only a few nights in each location, so it wouldn't be the end of the world for us if we didn't like our allocated room, whereas I appreciate that it's more of an issue for longer stays.

Whatever you've requested, you can always ask at check-in if there's a choice of 1-bedroom available if you think the one you've been allocated might not be to your liking. They might say "no", but if you don't ask, you'll never know

As an OKW regular (with more than 20 check-ins under my belt) I just wanted to say that I agree with Hilary 100%.

I can't imagine you will have a problem getting in at OKW for those dates because of its size as much as anything. Good luck with it.
