I second the Orlando Ale House... I nice evening away from Disney.

I"ll third it, although the one on OBT is much better, but not sure it's worth the drive.

We love:

Seasons 52
Villa de Flora (in Gaylord Palms hotel)
The Melting Pot (fondue)
Don Pablos (great mexican food, but I will definitely have to check out the others mentioned on here!)

What is that great pizza place I have seen mentioned here?

I believe the name of it is Giordanos, Chicago type pizza. I think they're on the list that will deliver, not sure we had Pizza Hut delivered, DH's favorite. They did deliver right to our room though, which was nice.

Yep, that's it! Thanks!

Giuseppe's on 192 in Kissimmee has fantastic pizza.

Growing up near Boston, we're particular about our pizza and this place is great!

I second Cafe TuTu Tango. The atmosphere is original, there are local artists working that you can watch, and the food is excellent. It's right across from Don Pablos. My favorite thing at Don Pablos is their Sampler Dip appetizer for $3.99. 4 great dips for one low price! Unfortunately their entrees tend to disappoint me, though.

DH and I had a fabulous dinner at Emeril's Tchoup Chop in Universal's Royal Pacific Resort. We may get a sitter for our next trip so we can go there again. Both food and service were excellent.
We ate there twice last year and it was excellent both times, great food, service and atmosphere.

My overall favourite is still the original Emeril's at Citywalk; brilliant food.

Another chain restaurant is The Cheescake factory in the Mall of Millennia. Huge portions so save room for the delicious cheescake!

smokin-bones on the corner of 192 &535 at the publix shopping center is awsome if you like ribs &steak

Ok my family just moved here and we have been exploring restaurants , we lived in the Boston-Providence and anyone from that area will tell you food is different there than anywhere else.....even the chinese restaurants are different from town to town....anyway we have yet to find chinese food that compares to what we are used to ...

but we did find a wonderful restaurant on highway 27 in Haines City...this is a long way away...but on the way to Cypress Gardens or Bok Tower from I-4....The restaurants name is 'Manny's Chophouse' they cut the steaks to order and the wait staff is very very very nice and extremely attentive...don't look around too much a server will be there in half a second to check on you, to see if you need anything. I recall a Blue's Brother's theme and they have paper on the tables, if you are extra fluffy try to wait for a table with chairs as the booths are a little tight, but there might be a wait for a table, the restaurant is super popular with the locals, they serve their version of a cobb salad that they mix right at the table for you and yummy rolls served with cinnamon butter..had I anticipated how wonderful the meal itself was going to be I would have only eaten one bite of salad....I ordered a sirloin steak and stuffed grouper combo plate and chose a baked sweet potato as a side....the grouper was stuffed with shrimp and crab and cheese(au gratin) and was unbelievable....the steak was good as well, the sweet potato with cinnamon butter....SOOOO GOOOOOD! I was in ecstacy over this meal....honest to goodness..it was THAT GOOD! Prices were reasonable....DH and I had dinner and sodas for about $35 including tip.....portions are big.

A little closer to the mouse we have latched on to Chevy's Fresh Mex in the Crossroad's near Downtown Disney....good fajita's , awesome salsa and chips, and I am quite fond of the Tostada Salad with chicken....it's huge and has a lot of everything...you just need to keep digging for it...with their homemade ranch dressing...it is very good!

If I could get away with it I'd pick up chips and salsa at Chevy's and pick up the stuffed grouper and sweet potato at Manny's and be a very very happy girl!

Our family was not overly impressed with the food at Cafe TuTu Tango.
