Since the Dining plan is driving us all nuts please give your recommendations for the best Offsite sit down Restaurants .

We ate at Maggiano's last time we were there. If you go for lunch and get the family style meal for 15.95 each you will overdose on food . They will bring you as much as you want and pack left overs for later.

We as a family like Bahama Breeze on Vineland rd. It has a great atmosphere and good food too.

These are in the Dr. Phillips area. Not far at all from WDW and well worth the short (ten minute) trip.

Melting Pot
Too Jay's (for breakfast or lunch)
Roy's
Season's 52 (noisy and not fond of children)
Moonfish
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
Morton's Steakhouse

If you want to head west, take 192 west to 27 north. There is a little sports pub sort of place in Cagan's Crossings, RJ Gators. It's cheap, filling and fun. (Definitely not gourmet)!

There is a Chili's near there too (across the road). I don't care for Chilis but many folks do.

Bob Evans on west 192 is great for breakfast.

Ale House at 535 and 535 (county and state route) near DTD is another place for cheap, plentiful, decent food. Loads of beer on tap. Another sports place.

If you want to venture further, Rt 50/Colonial Drive in downtown Orlando has a load of wonderful Asian restaurants. Worth the trip!

You forgot Samba Room and Timpani, they are also on Dr. Phillips

I'll echo the restaurants on Sand Lake Road in Dr. Phillips, as well as Bahama Breeze.

I'll add Kobe Japanese Steakhouse on the Palm Pkwy. It is a neat place to eat and the kids will like it. They cook in front of you.

There are lots of good restaurants in the Dr. Phillips area as other posters have noted.

For steak, try Del Frisco's on Lee Road--near Winter Park. It's expensive, but worth it (and the drive). Just remember that the dress code requires jackets for men.

Del Frisco's is certainly excellent, but its a bit of a trek from WDW. Its about 25 miles north on I-4, but if you dont mind the drive, this is a great restaurant.

Does somebody know how much does a taxi cost to go to Olive Garden or TGIF not too far from the entrance to Walt Disney World because we will not have a car
