The pizza at Disney is terrible. Where do the locals go for the best pizza around WDW? What chains are available nearby? How much is charged to deliver on property?

For delivery, Flippers, bar none. Prices are pretty standard with the national chains. Phone number is 407-396-1202.

There is a Giordano's Pizza very close to the entrance of WDW by DTD. We usually go there once a trip. Great stuffed pizza!

Maybe ask at the hotel what they recommend... I would think the majority of the cast mates are locals..

hmmm..pizza...popcorn:: maybe that will be dinner tonight:rolleyes1

We have actually tried Giordano's on two occasions. It was pretty good, but very expenseive and a very long wait to cook their deep dish pizza.

We have never had the wait problem but it does take a long time for the pizza. I think they should explain that when you get there but they don't. We didn't realize until last time we ordered a pizza to go for some of the family that didn't go to the restaurant and the waiter told us that it would take 35 minutes for it to be ready so we had to order it pretty early. I guess it would take a long time for 10 inches of cheese to bake :rotfl:

Uno's!!! Right outside of DDT is Uno's! YUMMY!!!:jumping3:

Flippers is by far the best regular pizza!!! Located right on 192 next to Old Towne..we had the BBQ Chicken Pizza last time and some breadsticks, and they were great. We are staying at the Contemporary at the end of April, and cant wait to have flippers again.

Giordano's is my 2nd choice, but we usually go there and eat, because it does take about 30-40 minutes, so we get some starters for the kids and snack until the pizza arrives. Can't go wrong with either one.

Believe it or not, I have a Flippers menu right in front of me (and we live in Georgia). It's a must for our trips.

The phone number for the Old Town Kissimmee one is 407-397-9509. They also have a website that is the obvious but it is a pizzeria.

Pizzas are 12" and 16". Many, many different types including build your own ($8.99/$11.99). Lots of different toppings so you might want to check out the site to see all the options.

They also have salads, sandwiches, calzones (add your toppings), and pasta dishes.

Minimum delivery order is $8 and cash and travelers checks are accepted so no debit or credit cards according to their menu.

Just had a look at Flipper's website - menu looks good :thumbsup2

This is a place we haven't come across - tend not to do the likes of Pizza Hut when we can get it back home but do love a nice pizza. Will certainly be trying the on Vineland Road as it is quite close to Coral Cay - very convenient :yay:

Another vote for Uno's. My DS ordered one from the kids menu and it was so big he couldn't finish it. I didn't eat any, but it looked sooooo good. DS loved it BTW.
