We are staying two nights at the Swan, Thanksgiving and the day after, before departing for a week on Sanibel Island.

We're doing Epcot on that Friday, and figure that we will have a few hours Saturday morning before we leave. What is you suggestion for the best Staurday a.m. activity?

1. Visit a couple of the resorts to see holiday decorations? How are the decorations at the Disney Boardwalk area resorts? (we stayed at WL during the holidays back in 2000).
2. Downtown Disney?
3. Other?

Thanks.

Since you are so limited for time - Downtown Disney might offer some shopping, but they don't open till 10 am, I believe.

Are you both adults, or are there kids involved? Even without children involved, I would probably make reservations for the Cape May character breakfast at the Beach Club - You'll get a nice hot breakfast for your ride, and a last exposure to that Disney Magic. Also, the Christmas Decorations at the Beach Club are beautiful - last year they had a life sized carousel made entirely out of gingerbread. It was phenomenal! I would take this chance to say goodbye to the magic, if it were me!

I agree with CRCrazy, I think that the character breakfast at Cape May would be a great way to end your trip. If you get done early, you can always walk the Boardwalk back to the Swan. Enjoy!

I was gonna say the same thing. Character breakfast at Cape May - excellent buffet, Goofy, Chuck & Dave, Minnie. Maybe Pluto.

Also, maybe hit the Grotto pool for an hour or two before you have to leave?

Weeping uncontrollably in your room isn't the best thing to do but we find it helpful.

How about mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens. If you're staying at the Swan, it's virtually next door!

My 3 suggestions have been mentioned. Shopping at DD, character breakfast for that last bit of Disney magic, and mini golf.

And same 3 suggestions here. Visit the lobbies of the Yacht Club, Beach Club and Boardwalk after a great character breakfast at Cape May. After leaving the Beach Club, take the Epcot direction walk around Crescent Lake on your way over to the Boardwalk, a really nice, pretty AM walk. Then after that and checkout, maybe see if you can take in some of DTD, always pretty too. Enjoy. :wave2:

Last year on our last day at the Swan, we fed the ducks some crackers that we brought with us.

We are in the same situation - staying at the Yacht Club. We plan on doing Cape May Cafe for breakfast and maybe enjoying the pool one last time. I think another fun thing would be Fantasia Gardens.

Have a wonderful time both at WDW and Sanibel Island. We went to Sanibel Island last year and absolutely loved it!

Our flight leaves at about 11:45 a.m. DH wants to go straight to the airport, but I'd like to eat a nice breakfast somewhere. It'll be a Sunday...Can we get in and out of the Cape May breakfast in an hour?

Yes, you should be able to get in and out of Cape Mae in an hour. Everything is buffet, so you can eat at your own pace. I would make a priority seating and try to avoid the "crowded" time slots. At times, we have walked right in with no wait and other times we have waited 10-15 minutes. I would think the earlier you go the better chance you'll have of being seated right away. Have a great time and tell Minnie I said "hello".
