We are trying to figure out the best night to make reservations at Palos. With the kids we have early seating, but don't know if we should go to Palos early while kids are in clubs so we don't miss regular scheduled shows, etc. or pick a late seating for Palos. Any advise would be appreciated on best nights and times to shoot for. Thanks.

We did Palo's on our 5-11 cruise on Tues-Grand Cayman night. We had PLA rotation and it was our 2nd night at Parrot's Cay. Don't miss Wed night in Cozumel Mexicali night. They have a mariachi band come on board and play at all the dinners. They limbo, dance, have a great time. I had the shrimp and lobster fritters and shrimp with rice-it tasted like jambalaya. We had ressies for 6:30 and were done around 8pm. Our kids are 4 and they went to the club for dinner from 5:30-6pm and then the club saw Return to Neverland, followed by Do Si Do with Snow White. Our kids were in the club from 5pm until after 9pm and loved every minute of it. The 2nd show started at 8:30pm, so we didn't miss the show.

We also did Palos on the 5/11 on Tuesday (Grand Cayman) day.

We had the LAP rotation with early seating. We gave the kids dinner at Topsiders and we had 8:30 ressies. We took them to the club/Lab about 8 PM. It was also nice eating dinner later one night.

Whatever you decide, ENJOY!

We also did Palos on Tuesday. It was Master Chef's night in the main dining rooms so if you really want to be there, than you will have to pick a different night. I think Tuesday was the best choice for us because we had PLA also and Monday (the only other non special day on the cruise) was the AP show.

I vote for Tuesday...

On our last two Disney cruises, we chose FRIDAY to go to Palo`s. It was a PERFECT way to end the cruise.:bounce: We will be picking FRIDAY again this year on our June 22 cruise along with three other couples.:D Our kids ages 17,14 ate at the schedual restaurant with some friends they met. Everyone was happy. :) GOOD LUCK:bounce:

DawnL,

We're going to Palo's on Thursday evening. First, we picked that night because we're going to be renew our marriage vows on board that afternoon. It's hard to believe - 22 years! Anyway, our anniversary is actually Friday (7/12), but the vow renewals are only done on Thursday.

Our two kids (DD-18 & DS-13) are old enough to fend for themselves. They're looking for any excuse to avoid getting dressed up for dinner, so after the reception, they'll change into shorts and probably head up to Topsiders for dinner (Thursday is semi-formal night).

We thought about going to Palo's on Friday - our anniversary. But, we decided that we wanted to spend the last night on board with our kids.

Just think, 5 weeks until the cruise! Are you excited yet?

We also did Palo on Thurs for several reasons:

1. 2nd night in AP & no show
2. Sea Day
3. Semi-formal night and would have to dress up anyway!

We enjoy Palo the first night out, Saturday very easy to get ressies for. We have early seating which we attend with our DD who is 5, making sure she eats something before going to the Oceanears Club. We may nibble but not much, need to save room for the YUMMY food at Palo. Ocearnears Club opens at 7:30 we have ressie for the same time, drop her off and we head upstairs for our first night there. Thursday night is also a good night they served lobster and filet migon on our last cruise. It was neat to get all dressed up in formal wear and dining at Palo.

I don't think there is a bad night at Palo. Time it right and you can attend both dinners.

:D
