Best Nacho Plate With Melted Cheese, Salsa Etc???

The Cantina nachos' chips are lame... they pile everything on top, so if you are really hungry it tastes great, but afterwards you are like - I could have made that at home.

Our family would vote for the nachos at ESPN as well. . .I really didn't notice they changed the cheese to the canned sauce type, I love the seasoned beef that comes on top. . .

ESPN nachos, cold beer, and sports--what more could a woman ask for!:worship:

I agree that the Nachos at the Cantina in Mexico are not that great. I no longer order them.
I had the Nachos at ESPN club in the past, but I too would not like the cheese sauce rather than real cheese.
Good Luck in your search and let us know your verdict when you return from your trip.

I think I'm going to have to try the Pepper Market nachos this trip since we're staying at CSR. :cool1:

You must have one happy husband!

Thanks, I think he is a pretty happy guy--we've been married for 27 years! Probably our mutual interests: good pub grub, sports, and beer--oh yeah, and Disney too. :lmao: Just kiddin' we have other interests as well. . .

I like my nachos! Real cheese, fake cheese, I take them anyway I can get them. ESPN Zone's were very good for my palette as were the ones at Rainforest Cafe. I love to go to RFC while at AK, sit down where its cool and have some nachos and beer. Then ride Expedition Everest immediately afterwards!

I also like the nachos at Pop Century and the All Stars and the ones at Pepper Market are amazing.

The ones at the Cantina are okay, they plop the sour cream on them and will not do special orders. So that bugs me. The ones inside San Angel are better, they have Mexican sausage on them. And their Mexican light beer is tasty too.

Yes, I have nacho'd my way around WDW.

Love Love Love the Nachos at the Pepper Market!!!!

The nice thing is you can get as much salsa, sour cream and jalapenos and beans as you want and really make the nachos your own.

These are a must do (several times) every trip!!!!

The margaritas are quite tasty too!:drinking1

Here's a pic of ESPN nachos

Those look like the good ones, Cseca! :thumbsup2 When was that picture taken?

Oops, nevermind! I just saw the date on the picture. Yep, 2006 they still had the real cheese. Even as of last summer they still had the gobs of gooey cheese, however as of Dec 07 its been changed. :headache:

Really?
They don't do gobs of gooey cheese anymore? :(

Its a cheese sauce now as opposed to melted, shredded cheese. I still like them very much (but I am okay with cheese sauce, even the processed/product kind ;) ).

The rest of the toppings still looked just like your picture when we had them in June.

Can't wait for some more in October!

We just ate at Whispering Canyon on Tuesday night and we had the Chips, Salsa and Queso dip and it was terrific. I know its not exactly what you are looking for, but we devoured it.

Nope its like Velveeta sauce, the fake stuff that you get at sports stadiums. It changed somewhere between 7/07 and 12/07. To me the cheese makes or breaks the nachos, and I used to love these. I would go at least once a trip, sometimes more, just to get these. Of all the changes WDW dining is making I think this is one of the worst ones!

We are actually skipping ESPN on our next trip and going to one of the resort lounges to get their nachos instead. :thumbsup2

THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!

Bill,
If you like the look of those nachos and you aren't a fan of the liquid cheese that some have reported that ESPN switched to--maybe you could request them done the old way "with real cheese". I think I's be willing to pay a bit more $ in an upcharge to get them done the way I want them!

My DBF and I are huge nachos fans and will not get them anymore in WDW. The best ones we had were at WCC and they were taken off the menu. We tried them at Rainforest Cafe, Pepper Market, Cantina de San Angel, and ESPN Club and they all come with fake queso cheese which is really gross and just makes everything soggy. I would order something else....unless you like fake cheese on your nachos!

I am wondering if you tried requesting real cheese on your nachos. I really hate the fake cheese sauce!
