Best Movie Villain Ever

I know alot of us have Star Wars on the brain, and it got me to thinking. Just who is the best movie villain of all time, of course I'm going to say Vader. What do y'all think?

I agree with Vader but Dooku was great too IMO. Oh, I liked Saruman in Lord of the Rings too. (Yes, I am a big Christopher Lee fan. )

My personal favorite villain is Keyser Soze (The Usual Suspects).

And I'm hoping Ralph Fiennes makes this list again once Goblet of Fire comes out. If he plays Voldemort like he should be played then we'll have to add him.

Actually, for Disney villains, I have to go with the Wicked Queen over Maleficent.

Absolutely! What makes him so fearful is that there ARE people like that running around in society. Haven't seen darth Vader on the street lately.

I came to post on this thread to say him! Best ending to a movie EVER! The weird thing is, my DH and I had just been discussing how he would like to see a movie where the bad guy gets away. There are not many. Then we see this movie! I said "here you have it"

My vote is definitely for Vader, but here are a couple other memorable ones I haven't seen mentioned:

The shark from Jaws
The raptors in Jurrassic Park
The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
Jack Torrance (Nicholson) in The Shining
Cruella DeVil
Freddy Krueger, Jason Vorhies, etc....
The Alien in the Alien trilogy

I opened the thread just to post this but you had me beat by over four hours!
I'll stay with an Alan Rickman character and add the Sheriff of Nottingham from Robin Hood.

A personal favorite villain of mine is the Frank Nitti character from The Untouchables.

Also, a vote for Scar in The Lion King. Jeremy Irons was wonderfully nasty.
