What is the best, most reliable website that lists which park is the best to visit on a particular day?

I'm bothered because when I'm there, there's an outright contradiction between easywdw, Kenny, and TP. TP says HS is best park Jan 31, TP and Kenny say worst. Same contradiction for AK for this day and the next. I went with easywdw and kenny, since I'm not sure we'll make morning EMH those days. It seems like they used to agree with each other more, but lately there's big differences between TP and the other two.

I've gone through using a lot of different sites for this info and have decided to use easywdw with Kenny as a second opinion. I compare the two and I start with the things they agree on.

I assume you mean easyWDW and Kenny say the worst. ;) Does TP say why they recommend HS? EasyWDW doesn't recommend it because it's an EMH day (I'm guessing Kenny is saying the same.) You definitely should avoid an EMH park if you can't actually be there for the EMH hours.

Yes, that's what I meant! I wish I knew why TP recommends the two parks on their EMH days. For AK on 1/31 (not EMH day), they predict crowd levels at an 8 in AK, while overall park levels are a 5! Seems like such a contradiction to what these sites usually recommend. I went with Ewdw and Kenny in these two cases. Maybe TP knows something no one else does!

That's the problem that I am having with TP -they don't give any explanations of some of their levels. They just bumped up MK on Jan 29 to a 9. A 9 on Jan 29? Really? I would LOVE to know why, but no explanation. Jan 22 - exactly 1 week earlier - is a 5 (which sounds reasonable for Jan).

That's because the prediction sites are floundering in response to the new crowd levels. Things are less predictable, so they don't fit the old patterns those sites used to make their predictions. Search the forums & you'll find a lot of comments about TP's predictions for MK, in particular, being way off. But it isn't only TP, they've all been off, especially in the past few months.

I used to be a big believer in touring plans, but several years ago they changed something and they haven't been accurate for me since. It feels like they're more interested in recommending each park a certain number of days through the week, than they are with recommending what will be the least busy park.

I have always used easywdw for the crowd calendar in planning all of my Disney trips, and it has never let me down. :)

Same as PP, love easywdw! Besides the entertaining post and "artsy because it's tilted" pictures, his crowd calendars have always proved beneficial for us! :D

Yet another easywdw lover here. I like that Josh explains why he recommends (or doesn't recommend) a specific park on a specific day. That way I can decide if his reasons apply to our family or not. We don't always go to the park he recommends on a specific day, but at least we've made an educated decision and know what we might be up against.

I prefer touring plans just because I love numbers, and feel they make more specific predictions about crowd levels per park (and more clearly track their own accuracy). Come to think of it, I don't think they recommend a specific park -- that's up to you. I prefer balancing the trade-offs myself.

EasyWDW makes simple and clear recommendations and in narrative form, so I get the appeal. But when I think about it, I'm not sure how you'd prove their recommendations wrong. That's probably a bonus, as you'll be sure to feel good about the decision afterwards. ("Boy that park was so crowded, can you imagine if we went to a NOT recommended park?")

I like using easyWDW but in general I don't use crowd calendars to determine what park to go to but instead to anticipate the types of crowds I'll find when I get there. That's the main reason I like easyWDW's recommendations best. He always has an explanation on why something is or isn't recommended and I can determine if that reason will effect me or not.

An example of this is EMH. Most of the time they won't recommend going to a park with EMH because for those that don't have those privileges the park will be crowded with people that do and those that don't won't have the benefits of the extra hours to make up for it. Personally I go to EMH parks because my family can go from open to close with little to no problems and we just plan around the peak hours by doing the shows and less popular attractions during that time.

I prefer TP, but I do sanity check it against easyWDW and if there is a major discrepancy, then I dig into the explanation and see if it applies to my situation or not.

I tend to use all three. I feel like TP will give me an idea of overall crowd levels where KtP and easyWDW will give specific recommendations to what park is best to visit on a given day. Even if overall crowd levels are an 8 or 9 there will still be a better park to visit on that given day. For example MK is generally a green day on a Thursday on easyWDW and KtP, but you may still be going at a busy time of year where the crowd level is still a 9.
