Hi All.....& Merry Christmas!! :santa:
My family (DH & DS, 9 & 10) went to DW for our first ever & slated to be "once in a lifetime" trip in April of this year...of course, we loved it soooo much, we want to go back!! Question: When is the best month to go...crowd wise, price wise & weather wise? Keep in mind, we really want to do the waterparks this time but being Canadian, as long as the temperature hits 70, we are good!! :woohoo: So, any thoughts???

I liked the end of Sept because we got to see MNSSHP and had free dining. The crowds were low, the weather nice. However, it is the hurricane season at that time.

i loved going in sept we went the week after labor day, it was a week after katrina hit down in LA, MI, ect, and gas prices were sky high on the way down there but the weather was GREAT the crowds we so low, 1/2 the parks didn't even have the fast passes open b/c there was no lines on most rides anyways, almost all walk one, ect. I LOVED it, we don't really like water parks all that well so that's no an issue with us, this year we are going in Feb/march for a trip before dh goes to the police academy for 4 months, kinda a good bye thing, but we are hoping to go back to sept in '08...

Is going in early November any good? Is the weather still warm enough to do the water parks? What about crowds?

The second week of November (Veteran's Day week) is usually busy because of "Jersey Week" and the F&W Festival is still going on. We used to go every year, but have changed our timing to go the 2nd week of October - the crowds seem to be smaller.

I've lived in FL my whole life, and am a regular at the parks, and I definitely agree that October is the best time to go. It's still very warm, and the crowds are next to nothing. We always make a point to make several day trips in October and late Jan/early Feb, but that might be a little too cool still for swimming.

We have been there in June ~ September ~ October and December and everyone thought that October was by far the best for weather, crowds, ect..

My daughter's school is on a modified year-round schedule, so we have odd weeks off. This year, we had a "fall break" at the end of Sept. The crowds were very light. We had free dining. The only downside was the heat. It was still pretty hot, and we're from GA!
