Hello everyone, I'm in the process of figuring out what Moderate Resort we want to stay at. We want something themed and something that isin't too far (travel time).

Last time we were there we stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter and absolutely LOVED it! Our goal is to eventually stay at all moderate and deluxe resorts, unfortuanately we can't afford a deluxe stay this time around.

We have no childern traveling with us, but believe me we are big kids ages 30 and up (so far 4 adults)! ha ha! We loved the pool at POFQ for example.

Any recommendations? So far we're thinking of CBR.

Thanks everyone!!:Pinkbounc

I have wondered about this myself...from what I've seen on the web, I like the rooms at the POFQ best (in terms of decor). But I've heard mixed reviews on the others, and with a picky hubby, that scares me away. I wish POFQ was not closing!

If I were going to choose, I'd probably go w/ Riverside, if it were not too crowded. Though all the moderates probably will be. Then again, CBR might be nice too. CSR doesn't excite me much...keep in mind, this is all coming from someone who has never stayed at any of them!

Krispe,
We have ressie's at the WL (deluxe), and I have been contemplating moving to the CSR. You have gotta read the thread on this board for that. I
In order to make a decision you need to figure out what you want MOST from the resort. Location, food, pools, themes, etc... There are some pretty passionate posts for CSR!!! IMO its seems like the one moderate that incorporates all of the above.(for us). If my DH wasn't against moving thats where we would be going!!! Hope this helps!! Good Luck!!

Having never stayed at other moderates, I must comment about CSR. It's beautiful. We stayed in Sept 2002 and it was quiet, clean, with a spectacular pool area. The bus service was efficient. The resort is large, but there are several bus stops and if you can't walk far, the CMs zip around in little golf carts and you can catch a ride with them. They are happy to do this.

We had planned on trying CBR this coming trip in May, but switched to CSR because we enjoyed it so much.

We didn't eat in the resort so I can't comment on the food court. For an adult - only trip, I would definitely recommend you try CSR.

POFQ is also our favorite!!!!!! We did not enjoy CBR at all.

It all depends on taste but if you like a mexican/southwestern theme, great transportation and an awesome main pool area, maybe CSR is the place for you.

You can check out pictures and get info from my CSR website below.

Good luck deciding!

Thanks everyone for your imput!

This is really gonna be a hard decision. We really loved POFQ but the fact that it's closed dosen't help. But that's okay, we wanted to try a new moderate resort. We love the theming at POFQ so what ever resort we end up picking really has to have great theming!

To help with this process does anyone else have any good links to any personal websites with resort photos, those really help! Thanks Buzz2001!!

Krispe,

Did you see the links I provided at the bottom of my website? Those are just about all that I am aware of. I have to take Steve H's off since I think he does do his anymore.
