As a surprise christmas present, DF wants to upgrade his parents to a moderate resort. Currently, they are staying at Pop Century. Any thoughts on which resort we should upgrade them to? Thanks!

We like the privacy at POR. Even though it's a larger resort, there are so many pools you can get away from a lot of kids and families if you're looking for some quiet time together. It's also a beautiful place to walk around. They now offer carriage rides at night and you can rent the bikes or water crafts too. I've stayed at POFQ too, but we still end up back at POR. If you want to be near the building with the food, etc. (and to be first on the buses) request Alligator Bayou, Bldg.s 14 or 15. They aren't as cute as the mansions, but they are much more convenient :thumbsup2

Im torn between PORQ and CSR....they're both awesome. CSR is huge though...and there is a lot of walking involved. I dont know..lol..they're equally awesome!

I hear nice things about CSR and POFQ...whatever you pick I suggest not picking POR. We totally disliked it there.

I have stayed at CBR and liked it.. that was like 3 years ago and we liked it there.

My vote is for POR. I surprised my parents with a night there several months ago for their anniversary and they had a great time! They did the carriage ride and said it was much more peaceful there than at most resorts. If you can get a "water view" room, they're pretty nice...you can see the boats go by and should also be able to see the horse carriages.

We've stayed at Coronado Springs and POR. I personally liked POR better ~ so romantic and beautiful:)

I picked POFQ.. we stayed there Sept/Oct 2008 and we'll be going back September 2009.. We also stayed at CSR and loved it as well.. POFQ was just more convienent to get around... we didnt stayed at POR but did stop there once (took a bus back to POR instead of POFQ from the MK becuase hte POFQ bus line was wayy too long).. we ended up getting quite lost.. the layout for POR was kind of confusing.. also.. the bus system for POR made us vow to never stay there.. the buses usually picked up POFQ first and then would head to POR (so any POR guests would usually stand).. and they were also dropped off last most times (i say "most" and "usually" because we did have one rogue bus driver who went to every POR stop first and then POFQ)..

but for the most part POFQ gets dropped off first and picked up first... we definitely liked that better.. the boats to DTD you get picked up and dropped off without having to go to POR either.. so it really worked out nicely.. i don't think I could take being picked up last or dropped off last.. it wasn't *always* like that.. but for our trip it was for about 70 percent of the time... the Resorts board would also have great info..

OH.. I loved POFQ too because it was very very romantic and beautiful.. very well kept (but all of the moderates are really).. also the carriage rides are wonderful (and they clean up after the horses amazingly fast!!) .. we didnt do it this time but we will next time...

I have only stayed at Carribbean Beach and Coronado Springs. I liked CS better and they just updated all of their rooms. You can see pics on this TR:
