I'm doing a "quickie" Disney trip with my parents and my 2 and 4 y.o. daughter. We could probably only afford as nice as a moderate resort. WE haven't been to Disney World in ten years and the last time we were there we stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort (CBR)....we found that to be nice, but I'm wondering if there would be a better moderate for us? I'd love your input. Thanks!:thumbsup2

They're all good, pick a theme, size of resort, or location that is right for you. You can check out my CSR website below for pics and info on CSR.

I would suggest the POFQ, due to the small size (less walking) and great pool for the little ones, including a nice baby pool close to the large one (with the serpant slide).

POFQ would be a great choice. The pool slide is very tame. Great theme at the resort. Very small and compact, so easy to walk to everything. One bus stop. Picked up first before going to POR and dropped off first. Would be perfect for your little ones.

POFQ or POR . Either would be great. A few of the pluses are that you can use either resort pool and Riverside has many quiet pools as well. There are surrey and boat rentals. A boat that takes you DTD which is really nice and relaxing and a diversion from the bus routine. Both food courts are good. Boatwright's is a good restaurant, esp. for breakfast..just a few $ more for a much better sit down meal. (great omelets). POR is very laid back, lots of shaded paths to make your walks a little more enjoyable. Just a very pretty and quiet resort. Either of the 2 would be my choice for a mod. ;)

Thanks everyone! I think the PORQ might be the way to go!!! i'm getting so excited!:goodvibes

BTW- I'm sort of surprised that no one suggested the CSR is there a reason for that?

If you are looking for a resort just for the kids, I would take them to a value. More kid things to do.

If it were just me and the kids I would do a vlaue, but my parents were prefer to stay in a mod..... :goodvibes

CSR! Better transportation, main pool area with a playground and kiddie pool, and food options. Not sharing buses is a huge thing when you have to deal with kids and strollers. That was my issue with the PO resorts.

Is all the "convention stuff" going on there a distraction?

I guess if seeing people walking around with name tags in the morning or at the Pepper Market is a distraction but other than that, it's nothing you won't find at any other resort. It can get crowded at the PM at lunch or dinner but that can happen at any food court.
